The sloths move pretty legit. They seem super weird if you aren't used to them or have seen them.

Tico fellow over here. Here in Costa Rica, sloths are super, super common, not everywhere, but they certainly are. Consequently, I've seen countless throughout my life, and welp, yeah, that's how they move.

I’ve seen sloths before and you are correct when you say they move weird. Frontier did a pretty good job depicting the way that sloths move. Sloths are very slow and tend to move in a way that makes them look unnatural compared to other animals. They really are funny little things. I like the fact that they are a walkthrough animal since frontier didn’t to so well with the koala and since sloths are a very unique and slow animal, it makes sense why frontier made them a walkthrough animal, even if customization is limited. Who knows maybe walkthrough exhibits will have more customization in the future (and babies 🥰)

The fossa is part of the mongoose, meerkat and civet family. Although they do show characteristics of a cat due to convergent evolution, the fossa is basically taken the role of a cat on the island of Madagascar

Like.. do the really go in such a straight line forward? Without ever having the slight feeling of pulling themselves up when going forward paw for paw? Like it really feels so unnatural and robotic to me for what ive seen. Lol.. would love to see a video out there showing that they move like robots 😝

I think making the sloths an exhibit animal allows them to be more realistic than if they werent, i could imagine getting their climbing animation right on any given piece in the game would be hard, since it seems a lot of animals rely on being speedy and jumpy to make the animation work.

When my local zoo used to have sloths, they were on the inside of a sort of walkthrough aviary with a bunch of birds, so a walkthrough exhibit does make sense to me.

The fossa is closely related to the mongoose and I do see some similar traits, especially in their faces. Another fun fact: lemurs make up about 50% of the fossa's diet.

If there was a recolour option for the climbing frame in the sloth exhibit that would make it easier to fit in different build styles

One downside to me for the sloth is the lack of interspecies bonuses being an exhibit animal. In real zoos I've been to, it's common for sloths to share their enclosure with other animals, for example at Edinburgh Zoo the sloths live in a walkthrough exhibit alongside armadillos, so it's a shame you can't add other species to this walkthrough.

The Niles have always looked bad. They've fixed so many of the other animals, but for some reason they never fix the Nile monitor (and some of the exhibit reptiles that look awful).

Fun fact about each animal in this pack Lar Gibbon: these primates are also known as “white-handed gibbons” and despite what people think, gibbons IN GENERAL are Apes, not monkeys Red river hog: these piggies are mostly nocturnal and spend their nights looking for food and even follow chimpanzees so they can get any fruit the chimps might’ve dropped Asian Water Monitor: Asian W. Monitors mate from April all the way to October. And after a month after mating, the females will lay their eggs in usually rotting logs or tree stumps Brown throated Sloth: these suckers are the most slowest mammal on the planet but yet are somehow excellent swimmers when they fall into the water Fossa: these weasel eyed cat looking animals might look like cats, but they are actually related to mongoose and are the top predator of the island of Madagascar and like in the movie, they do love eating lemurs And that was your fun facts about each animal in the pack of today👍

The Gibbons and Red River Hogs look great and i love to have them in my zoo. I'am very excited to see the Fossa in this pack. It's great to have animals here that are not so well known. The asian water monitor ew well i could go without it. Sure, i would love to see more reptiles in the game like sea turtles, annacondas, boas or snapping turtles. Something new and exciting not a slightly different animal that we already have in the game. Which brings me to the Sloth. I'm not sure what to thing about this but "excited" is not my first tought. The building parts looks good, could be a little more. Overall i think it's a good pack and love tropical themes so i will probably buy it.

The sloths move like that because they eat only leafs so their metabolism and movement happen to be very slow (leafs don’t give much energy)

I love the animals. I have though I not will add more animals into my ZOO, so I can finally finish it, but I already built the exhibit for Sloth and now finishing Fossa Habitat. The Gibbons and Hogs I can add to existing habitat but to fit other big reptile into my Reptile House (originally built for 4 big reptiles, now hosting 7) will be challenge haha. Isn't there any enrichment item for sloths hanging from ceiling if there is the roof is on? Thanks for great video and showing all the requirement to us in advance.

Controversial comment, but imma have to say the water monitor. The idea of such a powerful, apex predator to house in a reptile collection just excites me more than the fossa, sloth, gibbon, and hog

Will there be videos that show Maturation Rules for each of every species of Planet Zoo? Like which species are solitary? Also, changes of compatabilities and benefits of each of other older and earlier species if there were since further DLC packs? For example: red river hog shared benefits with most African tropical primates like chimps, mandrills and gorillas.

Hopefully they change Asian Water Monitor Zoopedia. They should have the same land space and water space. Kind of disappointing to see it similar to the Nile Monitor. I was hoping that I would be able to add a Fish Feeder for this lizard. I know for my enclosure I'll try to give it lots of water space/side window panel to view them diving.

I agree that the climbing frames in the exhibit are just too much. I feel like it restricts creativity. I'm also sad that they can't have babies hanging onto mom's back. That would've been so cute. I love the red river hog and the fossa though, they look great!

I’ve seen sloths before irl and I can confirm that, while they do move slowly, the movement in game seems very robotic. The only way I can describe it is that they’re a lot more expressive irl in their movements. Seems too consistent/robotic-like in game

I am sad that the exhibit animals don’t breed because the babies are my favorite part. And the sloth being an exhibit animal makes no sense to me. I would love an explanation about why they did that. As far as the pack animals as a whole, I’m sorry but it’s a meh for me. I’ll still buy it though out of loyalty to Planet Zoo. I always do and I am blessed to be able to.

I think they made a video on the forums explaining why the sloth didn't make it as a habitat animal.. simply put, it was too hard for them I guess.. As you can tell from my thumbnail and the Zoopedia picture, the animal was originally planned as a habitat animal, because clearly, they are not able to climb on these vines in the game (unfortunately) :(

Sloths are very slow, but they can move a little quicker than that. There is still something robotic about their animation. I think the spine is too rigid, so they don't seem to bend or shift their weight as they climb. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/aridiqd-qpvQnqc.html I'm also not thrilled with the gibbons walking animation. They should have their arms up or out more. I'm just really underwhelmed with the pack altogether. I like the few plants. The hogs and monitor look good, even though I wasn't excited for them, but the Fossa is cool and unusual.

Wow, I love the new animals, the statues and Signs.🦥🐵🐗🌴🌺 I like for Lar Gibbon to can compatible with Asian Small-Clawed Otter, Bornean Orangutan and Siamang, Red River Hog with African Cape Buffalo, Bongo, Bonobo, Hippopotamus, Mandrill, Nile Lechwe, Okapi, Pygmy Hippo, Chimpanzee and Western Lowland Gorilla, (but I prefer with Bongo & Hippopotamus) and Sloth as Walkthrough Exhibit, it's so Good, but I hope someday for him and other animals in Walkthrough and Exhibits to get babies.
