I'm so, so glad that Delain is still touring and delivering the same "out of this world" quality of music as ever. With a lineup change you usually cannot expect the older songs to sound as you are used to hear them. Usually people complain about that. Now ... here we have an example of a perfect match, the old songs sound as good as ever, Diana has a great voice that doesn't stand back to Charlottes .... but people complain about that too .... Thank you Charlotte for many, many years of outstanding singing and touring. And thank you Diana for filling these large shoes without any space left in them! Of course this is meant to the former and new instrumentalists as well.

It is what It is !! some people will always complain !! it's what they're good at !! happened times and times again and still happening!! I agree with all what you said, I was there at this performance (Also 3 more times this year ), and yes Diana in Particular is outstanding !! unfortunately, I didn't get the opportunity to see Delain with Charlotte (as I wasn't in Europe back then), but Diana is every bit as amazing as Charlotte Is, in her own right and her different voice !! (which shouldn't be compared anyway) , and I still follow and support what Charlotte does in her Fabulous solo work, also for the other members (Ronald, Ludo, and Sander, and Paolo as a guest appearance ), they are all top professional artists, and great at what they do (also real nice people) !! Same can be said about Xandria as well !!

I love it. I was happy when Delain came on USA tour. I got see them in my Mesa-Nille Theater Arizona. I was so impressed with Diana and boys. They played with so much energy and passion. Im ready for another round of Delain 😉😁😊😊❤️❤️💛🖤🎤🥁🎸🎹🎸🎵🎶🎵☀️🌡🌵🏜

in voice yes, but presence on stage completely non-existent, even Ronald has to speak because Diana doesn't know what to do or say, Charlotte imposed her presence and at the same time her sweet personality, Diana only works in the studio

@@JosueCS yup that called stage charisma but that's an easy fix. It has to do with confidence. That'll come in time as she grows with shows. I know Charlotte got better n better over time. Compared to 15 yrs ago.

@@shayxtreme Yes, but it's been more than a year, she still doesn't know what to do, plus she doesn't convey any emotion when she sings, that attitude even makes the audience uncomfortable. I say this because I went to the one they had in the U.S.A. and we all understood that she only works in the studio

@@shayxtreme yes this is the first year ever that Diana is on a stage, I would crap myself honestly, lol. I bet she will grow and get better with confidence and stage charisma in time. The other guys have 20 years experience, can't compare it. P.S. maybe a shot of Honey Whiskey (Drambuie) helps, honey for the throat and 40% alcohol for a bit more loose and confident attitude :D

I wish that I’d seen them this year in the US,but I’m not a fan going into NYC anymore…..There is a better place Huntington Paramount on Long Island. Charlotte was amazing YES!Loved seeing her and Timo,Otto,Joey. But things happen.Diana is a different singer and to sing the original songs is different.She’s doing a great job with it. The Dark Waters album is her breakthrough album in a great band.She got this!And the fans have her back too.

If from the beginning Delain had been a band without a fixed lineup I would understand, but after so long with Charlie on vocals inventing a "project", it lost quite an identity. Diana is great, talented, friendly, and does her best, deserves all the affection and support, but I miss the old days...

What do you mean by "old days" and "project"? Delain is still a band (Martijn abandoned the idea of making Delain a project again) and its current line-up consists of 3 original members: keyboardist Martijn Westerholt, guitarist Ronald Landa (was in Delain from 2006 to 2009) and drummer Sander Zoer (2006-2014). Also on the "Dark Waters" album all the bass parts were recorded by their original bassist Rob van der Loo (now in Epica), that is, the only member changed compared to the "April Rain" album's line-up is Diana instead of Charlotte.

I miss Charlotte,Merel,Timo, Otto and Joey. They were so good. I mean Diana is a good singer,but just this is not the same Delain for me.

Впервые слышу новую вокалистку. У Шарлотты голос нежнее. Но у Delain отличная музыка и очень подходит и новому голосу, который неплохой, но обычный...

She's fantastic, but i think Charlotte is still the best 😁, but i like Diana too. It's same with Xandria without Dianne.

Yes, they try their best. But I agree, when people say, that this is not their Delain anymore. Same to me...I saw the "old" Delain a couple times and was always blown away by their performance. In comparison to this gig here...sorry...the band now has no teeth. Sounds good, but the special Delain effect is gone in my opinion. It was not just Charlotte...the whole band chemistry was way better before the big split. Wish them the best for the future, but I'm not interested anymore to new Delain music.

Charlotte didn't even write the music on that song. Only the lyrics. So to me it's still the same.

@@wecreatefoto7579 You can very much argue about stage presence, saying Charlotte is superior, but when it comes to vocal performance this is exactly the part Diana beats Charlotte. So NOPE.

@@martijnjanssen4419 Kan gewoon in het Nederlands.. Dianna lijkt op veel vlakken moeite te hebben met de zang en komt haast lucht te kort en zingt oppervlakkig. Charlotte heeft veel meer power en Dianna moest eigenlijk steeds even rust nemen omdat de zang best pittig voor haar was (gaf ze zelfs bij 1 nummer aan dat het ook lastig te zingen was en vroeg steun van het publiek). Paolo heeft voor mij de boel gered door echt bijzonder goed en overheesend over Dianna heen te zingen. Het is nu net als er een pop zangeres in een syfm Metal band staat en ze te haastig op zoek waren naar een zangeres. Charlotte heeft een meer classic sound en meer veel meer power in haar stem al is de ervaring ook veel groter. Het klonk nu als een zeer goede band, maar amateuritisch door zang waarbij ook sommige moeilijke partijen werden overgeslagen. Sorry.. ik was in Enschede.. Muziek was te overheersend ook en zang van Dianna ik kon er werkelijk waar geen woord van verstaan. Ze heeft een goede stem, zeker ... Niet voor Delain

@@PumpinggainzNartisticNot sure why, but I have seen this before. Wacken released a short 3 song clip from Lacuna Coil recently as well. Maybe they just want you to pay and subscribe to their site, if you want to see the whole show.

@@wecreatefoto7579 Zonder die koppige toetsenist was er uberhaupt nooit een Delain. Je hebt je oordeel klaar zonder te weten waar je het over hebt. Erg sprekend. En die oude bandleden hebben zelf in 4 jaar bitter weinig bereikt. Die toetsenist staat na 4 jaar gewoon weer op Wacken en andere festivals.

I was at this, walked away after a few songs. Not the same without the old lineup. It was also at about 12pm and it was too early to battle the mud, for this bland performance! From an old Delain fan :D

Charlotte has already left, and Diana seems to me to have a great voice, she sings Charlotte's songs very well.
