Its one of my fave studio tools atm, loads of character, well thought out design, super playable and seams to work well on anything I throw at it. Its actually surprised me how damne good it is!

Everything with the Deckards Dream loop convinced me that I need to get my hands on one of these. I’ve been running that section on loop all day.

Unless I missed it, you forgot to mention that you can sync the delay via MIDI input, which then syncs the delay to beat measures

Love mine! Stereo i/o is one of the several killer features. The only problem is now I want one after every synth in my rig.

Just got one today- for guitar. It is without a doubt, the best pedal I’ve ever played.

I love that it’s stereo so it could be a great tool for warming up colder sounding synths. I wish the Moogerfoogers back in the day were stereo so you could freak the sound but maintain the integrity of the panning.

It has a tube in it so Im guessing its in the million dollar range.

I saw this video months ago and tried to emulate the setup using plugins (surreal machines dub machines, NI Raum, Valhalla Delay) filters, saturator, in NI Maschine, and then using a hardware filter (electrix filter factory) and delay (electrix mo-fx), for two months. For what it’s worth, I got some great results, especially using NI Raum, which has infinite repeated which don’t easily go into craziness. It’s a lot trickier using the Dub Machines and Valhalla Delay because you have to constantly ride the feedback, so it isn’t “zen”. Also, the electrix approach is frankly, kind of sick, and you can change the routing of the filter so, the drive and filter goes between the dry and delay. But the infinite repeats still get crazy too soon. And even though these are cheap units, the combined cost would be more than a zen delay and it takes way more space on the desk. So, finally, I ended up purchasing one. If anyone is watching this video, and wants something to create the lush and gritty groove of Ricky’s demo, I think it’s going to be really difficult because the way knobs are tuned and the way the feedback doesn’t go crazy.

Went into this thinking I’d watch it to kill some time and I don’t need one of these. Seeing you have this much fun changed my mind haha. Keep up the awesome videos Ricky

Wow the warmth and character! Even without the drive it's really distorted so I guess it's not one for clean or subtle saturation? Seems to get into that flange / phaser territory too.

I didn’t know I needed this in my life... I love that it’s not a pedal. Hardware that’s designed to be used with your hands is hard to come by for fx these days, so that’s already a win - but that filter, is it parallel with the dry signal or does it affect the dry/wet together like a master filter? Btw, haircut looks sharp, I always forget there might be hair under the hat!

I think the Best Combo would be a mastersounds fx Unit before this one to add those gnarly reverb s and this one for an endless feedback loop. The Master sounds fx Unit has nicer time signatures and i find a better sounding high pass low pass filter. But this sounds warmer and that feedback look and ping pong sounds great.

Which valve is in there Ricky? I have a collection of certain types. I hope that's an ECC83/12AX7. I have really sweet vintage ones, of a few. Mullards, Telefunken's, a bunch of others.

Great demo of a cool performance tool. I don't do what you do, so I need to see from outside my little world what this is really supposed to be used for. I would get one of these if I ever did live higher speed/energy sets. It's like the afterburner on a fighter jet, with the big power knob to spank the crowd. I could dig it.

Hey Ricky. Love your videos man! Keep up the great work! I see you use the SP a LOT!!! I had the Dr Sample 303 back in the day and I've been thinking about getting a 404 a. I'm obsessed with samplers lately and it just seems like the ultimate machine for capturing longer ideas and just mangling the shit out of samples and creating nice loops for use in songs. Anyway, you seem to get a lot of use out of the SP. I'm going to grab one!!!! THANKS

Lucky enough to have a mixture of machines that could probably achieve this better, but damn this think looks so playable. Got so many that sound great but make it tricky to really jam with without knocking something else out of whack. Very tempting 🤔 There’s a lot to be said for big knobs 😂

The way the Bypass button works was a huge oversight IMO, it's odd that the LED indicator is backward but also total bummer that it also cuts off the delay tails. A lot of the marketing (through third parties) had falsely claimed you could control the pedal with MIDI, but it only accepts MIDI clock. IDK why I came here to vent, love your videos!

My backgrounds guitar. But lately I’ve been djing and mixing more and it got me thinking about making my own loops and drum tracks and mixing them into my own sets. This pedals amazing btw if I had the ability I’d get one in a heart beat. The filter is incredible

Coolest thing I've heard in a while

Anyone get whining noise on HP filter mode. Even with no input level going in I get a noise when in HP mode with cutoff in the anti clockwise/filter mostly off position? With and without resonance and drive. Totally gutted I have to return my unit as its a great fx unit apart from that. I read others have had similar issues. Back to shop it goes. Would love to buy another but I cant live with this noise as Ill mostly use it in HP mode.
