Hey Drew, instead of deleting,can you force a revolt? This way you wouldnt delete Holy cities, the map wouldnt be empty and the other cities could develop faster (after capturing the cities of dead cities). Maybe we would even see more global warming and some meteors in apocalypse mode.

I don’t know how feasible this is but you could do this with people running the civs knowing that every 5 turns someone is deleted.

Pretty cool way to play. I'm a sucker for games that end with one surviving civ. Perhaps forcing revolts would be better in the future, so that all the wonders and districts aren't lost, but instead end up helping ambitious civs?

I like your idea at the end. You should start this same map again, and have the aliens take away the strongest civilization every 5 turns, to see which one is the weakest.

This concept works in the beginning, but the last 10 civs should have more turns between deletion or be able to fight it out. When all your neighbors are gone, 5 rounds will not make to much of a difference in terms of score

For anyone wondering, you can calculate CIV 6's city populations like that :Real pop = 1000 * pop^2.8 (conventional way would be : y = 1000 * x^2.8)

I'd like to imagine the aliens give a planet to each civ depending on how they did in this game. Makes me feel a little better. I'd also like to see this sort of thing again, except this time the strongest civ gets deleted, and make it every ten turns so that technology can advance a little more.
