17:12 that was a clean whiff punish that he set up knowing how aggressive Shiny is. After kicking the bomb he dashed back then let it rip. The work I saw from Bernie in the 3rd and 4th games shows his decision making is better than Iso. Imo both haven't fully mastered piloting Link but Bernie is much more deliberate and sharp and honestly the better pilot. Pikachu is a tough matchup for Link and Shiny, imo, is the best Pikachu with master level piloting (you can still be master level and make bad decisions). For Bernie to make this much of a comeback (Im actually paused atp I tagged) speaks volumes of his decision making and adaptability. Imagine if his piloting was at mastery as well. That's really when Link is most imposing because he can put hit boxes everywhere and sometimes have 2 to 3 out at once. At master level you will mostly influence and force opponents to pick a poison, be more potent on hit, be faster with a little extra frame data, and better aerial movement than you'd think Link is allowed.
