If you are travelling om tourist visa, then you dont need to show the case but the immigration officer might ask you questions about your work and all, to make ensure that you are really going for tourism purpose only. As far as cash is concerned, you can carry Indian currency upto an equivalent of 3000 USD as per RBI.

Emirates allow 7 kg cabin luggage (1 bag) per passenger in economy class.

As per emirates, only one piece of cabin luggage per passenger is allowed which should be below 7kg limit. So technically ladies purse is included in this only and thus both backpack and purse wont be allowed. However, I have read in some online forums that they may allow ladies purse in addition to one bag in cabin considering weight of both of them is under 7kg. Thus I am not very clear on this rule, so it will be better to get clarity from emirates directly.
