i have the same query, i have taken admission for ma at ignou 2019-21 and going to take admission again in 2020-22 for masters in a regular ( because i was actually pursuing MASTERS from a regular University 2019-21 but had to surrender my study due to some personal issues and then I took admission at IGNOU for another subject not for my honor subject) is it valid? kindly answer

Following members were present: 1. Prof. Furcon Qamar, Vice-Chancellor Chairman Central University of Himachal Pradesh 2. Prof. Manoj Kumar Mishra, Vice-Chancellor Member University of Lucknow 3. Prof Sudhanshu Bhushan Member Prof lqbal Ahmad, Professor of Mathematics, JMI could not attend the meeting. UGC officials assisted the Committee. To pursue more than one degree programme simultaneously: The minutes of the earlier meetings held on 13.05.2011 and 09.07.2012 were perused and discussed by the Committee. The members also discussed the pros and cons of allowing students to pursue more than one degree simultaneously. After a detailed deliberations, following decisions were taken: a) A student enrolled in a degree programme under regular mode may be allowed to pursue a maximum of one additional degree programme simultaneously under open/distance mode from the same or a different university. Actually teritorial jurisdiction is applicable for state universities that to which were established under the state act. When comes to the dbhp sabha its not a state university and it was not established under the state act. Actually dbhp sabha is a national importance institue and it was established under the parliament act 14 of 1964........as per this how far it is fair to apply teritorial jurisdiction rules on dbhp sabha regional head quarters....??? In one clarification IGNOU is saying that you can't have two diploma simultaneously.... But in other clarification it is contradicting it's own statement by saying that two diplomas can be done simultaneously.... IGNOU itself is 🤔
