I have loved the McTell version since first hearing it sometime around 1983. I know of the Bromberg version, too, but I never paid it much mind (I prefer his more rowdy/funny songs.) Yours is somewhere in between with your own special touches. Thanks for keeping this song in circulation, Daddy.

Oh yeah, the double album, with the hilarious intro to the United States March (we kill only for two things : for oil and for peace...). Stefan's Delia is in a different key though, C.

Drop D makes it kinda sound like a laid back version of Dave Van Ronk's "Green Green Rocky Road". Great.
