Wow. What a wonderful recipe! I’ve been looking for a great kosher snack for my kids so I brought a bag of fried lentils for 3 dollars fell in love and had to make my own. Thnx so much for the guidance! Your subscriber from the US! Shalom!

Can you please tell which lentil you use ? Moongi or Masoor?

This is Masoor daal , you can make this recipe using moong daal as well .

How long will these keep? I’m always looking for cheaper, healthier whole food vegetarian snacks (that also don’t weigh too much) for hiking and backpacking. I’ve purchased stuff like this before, but it is so expensive.

Kept in an air tight container they can stay crisp for a week to ten days .
