A calzone is one of my favorite things to make on my Komodo Kamado. Using a Kamado allows you to get that radiant heat from the dome and you end up with great tasting charcoal flavor and that nice golden brown crust, that you are looking for on your calzone.

Hey! Love a calzone...almost more than a pizza itself! I like the parm grated over the outside. Have you ever tried Asiago as well? The local Sam's Club previously carried a bagel with both on the outside, and they were delicious...just a thought! Keep 'em coming, Jake! THANKS!

I don’t have a kamado, but that looks awesome. Going to try it on my raised rack and stone in the pellet grill. Thanks for the video.

Thanks! I’ll have to try one on my pellet grill. I’d run it 500 if you can. Can’t be too hot in a pellet grill, it will just cook a little quicker. 🍻

It’s supposed to go up to 500, so will be a good test. I’ll report back when I’ve tried this.

Sounds like a plan! Don’t be afraid to let it cook longer. Want the dough to cook all the way through.

@@RumandCook I cooked these up last night and was pleasantly surprised how great tasting they were. They weren’t as evenly browned as yours but I’m not surprised given I cooked them in a pellet smoker. I do like them better than the regular oven oven though, so a success. Good tip to crank up the temperature to 500 as they did take a bit longer as well. Going with burgers tonight, although I can’t find the McCormicks caramelized onion marinade. Going with another “flavor”, so we’ll see what the outcome is. I’m having a lot of fun with this.

As long as you preheat the stone 45 and keep the dome hot it would be worth a shot. 🍻
