Ohhh Maggie .... I was smiling.... watching you PEEL the Mangosteen !!! It's soo delicious. There is a method in how to get to the white edible pulp inside ! Just hold the fruit between your palms....and crush... The outer hard shell will crack easily....then you get to the white edible fruit !!

Nectarine is another fruit. (a kind of peach variety). The one which you showed in this video is Mandarin , but in India we call it orange.

not nectarine...It's called Tangerine in America....One is Tangerine and the other one is called orange...In India tangerines are native n we call them oranges...The other one that you'll call orange in America have just started to get imported in our country in the past 7 years...they never existed here before...Even the watermelon u bought is not the native one...they r an imported breed from eastern countries....the native breed is same as the round spherical one you get in America but ours have seed in them where as you'll have genetically bred a seedless spherical watermelon there

Cute vavas (babies) There are so many varieties of Watermelon, Mangos, Jackfruit, Guavas, Pomogrante, Papaya, Pineapple, Rambutan, Longan, Lychee, Matoa, Cherries, Bananas, Apple, Wax Apple, Sapote, Figs, Dragon Fruits, Citrus Fruits, Avocados, Coconut available here in India. People are currently farming them here in Kerala after importing it from many other countries, you can purchase the plant from all the exotic fruit plant nurseries. The fruit you had in this video Mangosteen (The one that look like garlic inside) it is imported here in Kerala years ago from Malaysia and Indonesia. Now many homes and fruit farms here in Kerala have at least one mangosteen plant, planted. The Mango variety you had in this video, it is called Totapuri mango it has many other names including Bangalore, Collector, Kallamai, Kili Mooku, Gilli, Mukku, Ottu, Ginimoothi and Sandersha all these are same variety mango with different names. It is a tangy-sweet flavor mango average tasting mango. Mangoes' origin is from India. We have first grown mangoes over 5000-6000 years ago. Currently, we Indians has our own 1500 varieties growing in India. India is the land of Mangoes for a reason. We export good quality mangoes to other countries, we import cross/hybrid mangoes varieties from other countries. Mangosten is available at kourtalam. From Kollam go to Shemgkottai and then to Courtalam. I used 2 different spellings used. Your husband should know.

It’s a shame you couldn’t eat the garlic looking fruit… the thick pink outer layer. It looked like it would have tasted better. Good demonstration and comparison on the different fruits.

In central kerala some houses have mangostein trees which are tall trees and fruits are sweet in taste.The fruit resembles Kudampuli or Malabar Tamarind in look when ripe.

That is not a nectarine! :) Nectarine is a smooth skinned peach that you eat with its skin on and has a single pip at the centre. Have you never had a nectarine?

😂😂 I don’t think they are bad… they just have an underlying flavor that I don’t like. I think maybe I haven’t had really good ones in the past.

@@WorldOfAnAdventure yes that maybe it. There are close to 1500 varieties of mangoes in India and most of the good ones are grown in the North. So I can understand you not getting your hands on some good ones. Also the actual season for mangoes is May and Jun when they are the best... But those are peak summer months unfortunately and the sun is brutal so I wouldn't recommend travelling then just for mangoes :-p Anyway I couldn't help but comment after seeing those expressions you both made after having a bite of that mango.. it almost seemed sacrilege to me
