Delicious Mushroom Delight: Mushroom Meze Recipe with Tips!
Hello everyone! Today, I'll be sharing a very practical and delicious recipe from Elif's kitchen.
Ingredients:
2-3 tablespoons of vegetable oil
1 large onion, finely chopped
400 grams of mushrooms, washed and diced
1 tablespoon of butter
1 tablespoon of all-purpose flour
1.5 cups of milk
Salt
Black pepper
1 teaspoon of paprika
For the sauce: 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil, 1 teaspoon of butter
Written Recipe:
Heat vegetable oil in a pan and sauté the chopped onions over medium heat for about 4-5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Wash the mushrooms quickly and dice them. Add them to the pan and sauté over high heat, stirring occasionally.
Continue sautéing the mushrooms over high heat until they release their moisture and it evaporates completely.
Add butter for extra flavor, then sprinkle in the flour. Sauté until the flour loses its raw smell.
Reduce the heat to low, then gradually stir in 1 cup of cold milk. Add another 0.5 cups of milk, making it a total of 1.5 cups. Adjust the consistency by adding more milk if needed until you get a smooth mixture.
Season with salt and black pepper, then cook for a few minutes over low heat. Once ready, remove from the heat and prepare the sauce.
Melt vegetable oil and butter in a separate pan. Remove from heat, add paprika, and mix well. Pour the sauce over the meze.
Your delicious and practical mushroom meze is ready to serve!
Tips:
Be sure to thoroughly wash the mushrooms and drain any excess water.
Sauté the flour until it loses its raw smell, as this will enhance the flavor of your creamy sauce.
