I’d love to see you build a house for a specific career. The house would have all skill objects the career needs to max it and it could match the feel of that career, like a chef would maybe have a big kitchen and a small herb garden.

it depends on the creator themselves. as a minor content creator, I know that sims4studio has options to assign style tags, along with other kind of tags but whether the creator does these or leaves them as the base- causing inaccurate tags- is up to them

Custom content is truly the saviour of _The Sims 4_ and content creators, including yourself, are saving it. And this build challenge is iconic. Love that you did it, as well!

My problem is that 90% of CC does NOT fit into the Sims 4 style and would fit far better in either Sims 2 or Sims 3. Most of it just looks so jarring and out of place in the Sims 4 to me and its annoying

Many cc finds seamlessly into the game and this comes from someone who has 1,000 + pieces of cc a this point ... saying it feels jarring is just as you haven’t found your style and maxis match style is a lot more common then you might think :)

Loved this Deli. I have a really weird habit of assigning a colour to each of my sims. So if they're a "blue sim", then all of their outfits have to incorporate something blue, even if it's a minor detail like a white swimsuit but with a blue hat! I started it so that I would use a more diverse range of clothing in my game but now I've started it, I can't stop 😂

you should do colourful builds more often! such a great eye for colour combination. my faves are the living room and the kitchen, i can't decide which one i like better but the bold terrazzo flooring really pops ❤

I did this in my actual real house. I like to use color therapy so I wanted to incorporate it into my home. The library is green for learning and growth, the formal dining room is red because it’s a grounding color and makes you hungry, the kitchen is orange because it boosts creativity and nurturing, the living room is yellow for joy, the bathroom is blue for calm and cleanliness, our bedroom is indigo to promote sleep and dreams, and the laundry room is lavender for clean serenity.

You mentioned a cluttered house, but imagine doing a hoarders house with stuff just piled up eeeeverywhere. It would be a challenge to place everything that way haha!!! Google is better at this than me so: Two colours, placed side by side, will appear differently depending on which colours are used and what they are placed next to. The effect of this interaction is called simultaneous contrast. Simultaneous contrast is most intense when two complementary colours are juxtaposed directly next to each other. For example, red placed directly next to a green(or in this case orange next to blue, if you concentrate on the edge you will see a slight vibration. Complementary colour are on opposite sides of the colour wheel

I’ve learned from watching the recent Mr Kate videos where she is literally doing each room is a different colour in her new Hawaii home, that you either want to use colour families or complementary colours when you do block coloured rooms. Super cute build

I'm here for you guys filming your builds and floorplans. I can decorate beautifully, but I really struggle with floorplans and roofs. And I never know how to put architecturally interesting columns etc in my builds, so LOVE when you and James show us the builds. Let's plays are ok, but for me, this is the magic of Sims.

Actually as a fan of evolutionary psychology and psychology student I would say that having plants over your food has to do with how our ancestors used to eat in groups and in places that had good visibility. When you eat you are vulnerable and not ready for an attack, that's when it would be the easiest to hurt you. So probably plants stressing you out during eating is connected to this rule - years ago you would be stressed eating alone in the forest, cause you would probably get eaten too lol

i basically do this challenge in every one of my builds. I like every room to be different and i LOVE colour so much. Every house i build has at least one orange room, one mint room and one dark/forest green room

That terrazzo flooring made the living room pop!! I loved it! Great inspo! Side note: I've been trying to build a renovated modern victorian (think classic Victorian with a modern addition or renovation), and it's shockingly difficult to find a modernized version for inspiration. You are so good at those types of builds, and I would love to see one for you if you're looking for ideas/are interested. :) Thanks for the great content, as always!

Really fun shape to this build! I like that you took some real-world inspiration and then ran with it in your own way. :) Love the spandrels in the entrance area; looks really stunning, especially with how THICK the ORJANIC ones are. The kitchen/dining is an absolute dream room, you furnished it so beautifully! Having some CC moments are totally wonderful in builds, especially since you always do your best to link everything nicely in the description and give such lovely shout-outs to the creative content makers in the Sims community.

For a challenge build, For the interior you could do every room Different country style eg, Finland, South Africa, Brazil. Use the first or second inspiration that comes up on Google or Pinterest. Love your building style deli 💚

Acutally theres a color called Tyrian purple, that goes back to ancient times, obtained from smashing Mediterranean seashells. Also called Royal Purple, dates back to Phoenicians. Used to dye royal tunics and such. Pretty cool

Blue is the rarest color to come across in nature, so the pigment was rare also. At the time where the painters mixed their own oil colors from pigments, blue was the most rare and expensive one. That's one of the reasons why Vermeer's paintings had huge impact at his time since he used really rich blue color (think about the the blue in The Girl with the Pearl Earrings). Love you Deli

i love every room but the kitchen has to be my favourite one, would love to see you make a house but design it as if it is still a working progress bc the sims ran out of money (leaving out non essential items within the house, e.g. a missing bed in a spare room that has become a dump all space)

Purple dye was made from a rare and very stinky aquatic snail, and it was a long and laborious job to not only get the snails but also to produce the dye. That is why purple was associated with royalty, since it was so prohibitively expensive to buy. Nowadays, it's far more common. I have purple sheets, curtains, clothing, and rugs, not to mention towels and more. Not sure how the dyes are made but I'm sure they have come up with other ways to make it than with the snails.

Spoons (also known as Wetherspoons) in the UK is a cheap pub, very good for pre drinks. There is also Facebook groups where people count the amount of chips they get from spoons, its really funny and very British, group known as "Wetherspoons paltry chip count" haha! Soooo, not a coffee shop :D
