I love June’s honesty and descriptions of the different types of Jerky, Julia’s facial expressions and excitement, Gus’ just being cute, and how Chelsea probably gets a kick out of their banter.

Fun fact: the word jerky comes from the Quechua word "ch'arki", which is a seasoned dried meat that stores well, travels well, and packs a good amount of calories. Quechua is an indigenous South American language spoken around the Andes Mountains.

Dissapointed you missed the jerky boat when you didn't try Oberto. The best jerky ever. Teriyaki turkey jerky to die for. This may be an exclusive northwest product, and possibly difficult to find, but oh so good!!! (BTW...Tillamook...Mook rhymes with look or brook) :)

I just had mushroom jerky from Taiwan, it's soo good and there is no biting on sinews. I will definitely keep it in my snack arsenal.

I would love to have you taste South African dried flavoured meats - biltong, dried sausage, salami sticks, chilli bites, etc. Not usually massively processed. Naturally dried. I’m sure you would enjoy them.

My favorite affordable jerky is from Aldi's called Simms Artisan Jerky Aloha Teriyaki. It's a pork jerky & it's pretty tender for a jerky.

If you ever decide to do a Jerky 2 vid, you need to come to Texas for 2 reasons! 1. Buc-ees - HUGE selection of all kinds of beef jerky! 2. Texas Best Smokehouse- Not only alot of different beef jerkys, they also have AWESOME exotic jerkys like kangaroo, gator, Python, and Bison jerkys!

Two days after the release, Julia finally gets recommended to me. While I'm eating the somehow unopened (until now) bag of jerky from this weekends white water adventures! Creeeeeepy! You ladies are G.D. American heros for taking on this flavor challenge! For the record, I prefer the super thin, super chewy pieces, and the jerky "crumbs" my husband eats the big thick pieces "for me".

“Finished beef” is cows that grew up eating grass and then were “finished” or in it’s last few months of life was eating grain. This causes them to gain a lot of fat to help with the marbling of fat in a steak! ;) June you’re the best!

I actually hurt seeing the biltong amongst that pile of jerky 🤣🤣🤣. No no biltong is not jerky. Wish they could taste proper South African biltong with yellow fat and slightly pink (wet as we call it but that sounds bad 🤣). Still love these two.

Finished beef is the last bit before the animal goes to slaughter. Traditionally, grass fed beef are finished with grain to fatten them up.

Try the jerkys at the Chinese supermarkets. Vietnamese and Malaysian jerky are really good, and they usually come in beef and pork. I like biltong that's more plain, beef vinegar salt pepper and maybe one spice or herb.
