On December 2020 I delivered a Diamond DA62 from Fort Lauderdale in Florida to Asuncion in Paraguay. This is part two : Providenciales in Turks and Caicos ( MBPV ) to St. Croix, US Virgin Islands ( TISX ).

I'm curious, why don't new planes come with ADS-B transponders built into the radio unit? I always see something like that Stratus on the glare shield

Hi. Thank you for your comment. Most new planes, Including a DA62 , come equipped with ADS-B , however most pilots flying GA planes do use stratus with Foreflight as a backup GPS . It is very convenient to use for everything you need beginning with flight planning, weather , charts, performance etc. It's a fantastic addition to your flight gear. Greetings and Happy New Year !
