I have a 1984 or 85 FV700-F and it has a custom shorty pipe for the exhaust. It's just as loud if not a little louder than that at 1:40 on. love the sound of the bike.

I bought one in January this year. Live on the Isle of Man and opted for the sport pack with the akrapovic exhaust, just running it in and will upload a video as soon as i get beyond the 600 mile initial service.

its kinda of like being in VR where it gives you visual experience as to if you were the pillion holding on by one hand filming it and you suddenly lose control and start flailing about

sounds by far the best to me, out of interceptor, arrow or ixil. DanMoto is also another great 1. And amazingly cheap n look great.

Great vid! I have a 5th Gen (1997) with a Staintune exhaust and have listened to plenty of 6th Gen machines - the exhaust notes are virtually identical (if you match pipes). If you want the sound in this vid but can't afford a new machine there are options! I've never been able to capture the sound as well as this in a recording though - nice job.

How do you still like the Delkevic? I have the same bike and I am considering this exhaust or the black ceramic GPR deep tone.

I've got a Delkavic full length exhaust and 8" stainless can on my 1999 VFR800. I don't use the DB killer and I don't think it sounds offensive unless you get on it, in which case it truly roars. I would rather listen to VFR sound clips than female orgasms. Was looking at getting a 2014. Sad they don't have a full length for that generation.

Hey bro I have the same bike same color , and I bought the exact same exhaust because of your video . I’m having trouble keeping the bottom end of the pipe attaches to the end of the header , I know you’re supposed to use the ring to go around that part , but it won’t stay solid . Did you have to do anything to the end of those pipes to put them together ?

How did you record this? Sounds really good compared to other exhaust vids it seems, and what sort of camera/mount did you use?

There was a flat spot 3000-3500? I never keep my VFR that low on the rev range. Always 5000. Sounds so gooooooooooood with delkevic. Drivers might hate it because too loud

Just passed my Mod 2 test this afternoon and looking for inspiration. As a non-biker I've heard these V-fours over the years and always loved the almost V8 sound. But I've never been very knowledgeable on bikes so didn't know what bikes made this sound. Now I know! Off to AutoTrader...

ok so now i know which bike to get i was looking at the R1S and the R6, FZ10, but they were supposedly uncomfortable. so i fell back to the suzukes. i didint want to be another wasak rider, didint look all that cool anyway. was seriously considering a ducati, the harley of sports bikes (cringe). but the interceptor looks good and looks comfortable.

Hi there, are you still happy with your custom exhaust?

The 6 Gen were notorious for that flat spot. Perhaps it's the same for the newest version. On mine it occurs between 4-4500rpm. Nothing to do with your exhaust
