Excellent video! I came by to see how you got to 16 GB, but that model is lucky to have 2 RAM slots! My niece has the 3582 that only has one. Too bad you didn't have a drive to put into that SSD slot to really speed this system up. I'll be adding a M.2 SSD and upgrading her RAM to 8GB.

I also noticed you didn't talk about the battery. I always thought at the bare minimum you have too at least unplug it if not take the whole thing out. Before adding new or more ram.

I did the same thing, but my Dell laptop showed only half of the memory, which is only 8G. Does anyone know why?

Late response, and I hope you got it sorted out, but here's what I would do. Check how much memory shows with a single slot filled with your 8GB DIMM. If you have the correct memory this would help determine if one of your slots, or one of the DIMMS is bad.
