Purchased it 2 days ago. Battery time is way less, like 3 hours. that's it. previously, I've purchased a dell i3 laptop whose battery was more than 7 hours with normal use. Speed is good. Screen size quality is LOVE.

Sir I think charging time is not 4 hours. Its pretty much less. Maybe around 1.5 hours and smart battery gives you option to use it while charging without affecting the battery life i.e. it will directly draw power from the adapter connected to socket.

Hello, I'm having the same laptop and used it around 1year .But now I'm facing the keyboard issues especially B N left right arrow keys are not working sometimes. Even many are facing the same issue . I got no solution for the issue.Please address the issue and give me a solution .

Unfortunately there is no solution. I have the same problem, as others. It’s a fabric defect and Dell should call back this laptop and give us another one.

Do you prefer it for light to medium use?Does the heating issue cause any problem in future and is the heat tolerable?

Medium use I would say. I personally use it for video editing. Heats up but if you have medium use it won't heat up much and it's tolerable.

Since it's made up of plastic so does we going to face problem with its hinge ? Means are the hinge support for long life? Because metal body hinge has very good life.

That is something I cannot say. It all depends on usage, how often you open and close and how delicately or roughly you open and close.

i own this same one with nvidia gpu and disabled the mx230 because intel iris plus g7 is more powerful than mx230 after that i was getting 60 fps on 900p in fortnite before i was getting under 5 fps on 400 x 300

It can handle such softwares, rendering may take some time though. Can handle it but, would suggest a laptop with i7 and better graphic card.

I have the i7 , 16GB , 568GB one ... i use it mainly for my school... I study electrical engineering, so use it for programming too.The keyboard and the screen are really good for programming it wont make you fee tired.. the only major problem the laptop has is its fan... when it heats up it can be really annoying i dont know how to fix it... note that i always use it having like 8-10 apps open and many many many tabs on google chrome and never close them lmaoo😛.. also i dont like the touchpad that much it is not that good quality.. you expect something more on this budget :/

Just decent I would say, because there are not proper vents and fans for cooling. So you might face thermal throttling !!

I have the same laptop with i7 processor 4 GB Nvidia graphics, 512 GB SSD. I love everything about it, minus the battery life. I am not sure about the claimed battery life, to be honest with normal usage it does not last more than 2hours 30 minutes also i don't like the cooling system. The cooling vent is at the back and when u keep it in your lap it fries your lap.

Yess , actually the design of new laptops (which have vents below the display) face such problems. And it's not a gaming laptop so it doesn't have a great heat distribution. Avoid playing for long hours. Keep a box to create an angled space between your laptop and the table or whichever surface. It will help with thermal throttling and the laptop will be a bit less hot.

If it has nvidia then go into nvidia settings and look for overlay, you'll find it there !! If not then download a 3rd party overlay.

Yes the laptop is good and will be fine for civil student I guess. I think it can last easily upto 5-6 years , rest depends upon how you use it !!

Please be careful when buying this product. Mine broke after 3 months. The screen broke; lines started showing and the screen flickering. This happened due to no fault of mine. No pressure was applied and I didn't drop the laptop. I used the laptop as desktop because we were locked up because of Covid so I haven't even taken it out of the house as of yet. Dell asked me to pay for shipping the laptop back to them for repairs despite the fact that I got basic warranty. They also asked me to pay $300 to fix the screen. The laptop quality is poor and very flimsy. I will not recommend this product please do not buy. Thanks. DB

@@mayankkochar3397 I spoke with lots of representatives and 2, supervisors and they insisted that I pay for shipping and repairs for doing nothing. I am worried that many people will buy this low quality laptop from Dell. I didn't even get to review the laptop on Dell website. If they are sure of their products, why will they block customers from reviewing the product. I am hoping somebody reads this from Dell and do something about my laptop

The time actually changes according to use. So if the brightness is full and you're working on chrome or anything it will show this much and if you'll keep it on stand-by it might show 4-7 hrs remaining !!

If you don't require much 3D work or modelling, it'll be fine it can easily handle all sorts of coding and it's execution or anything else that you do.

Yes , totally !! Just use a headphone or a speaker system , because the speakers of the laptop are not that great !
