Given the age of the video, this may have been pointed out, but on the battery replacement, I think you just got unlucky. I had all four screws in the battery. Thanks for the video though. It made things very simple to do.

Very easy to follow. I successfully replaced my battery with no gotchas. Resetting the case cover definitely takes patience to make sure it snaps in on all sides.

Thank you! I didn't have your magnetic sheet, but used your suggestion in laying the screws out in the same pattern they came out. (Before watching your video I was getting ready to just drop them all down into a jar. lol) So, I was able to reinstall all of them except one, which I'll keep in case I have to take apart the computer again. Maybe it'll work the next time around. I'm lucky that it was just the one, since I'm notoriously bad with anything that has to be screwed - from jar lids on down. So, it could have been a whole lot worse. Thanks again.

Nice video. You may have realized by now that the 2 "missing" screws for the battery are double duty screws that serve to secure the bottom panel and the battery. I've been trying to figure out if I can add a traditional 2.5" ssd along with the m.2 ssd. There is a connection point for sata cable HW01M which is sold separately. The BIOS does seem to list an empty slot for another ssd channel. But, there doesn't seem to be space for it nor screw holes for a ssd caddy. Additionally, Dell appears to have deliberately created plastic filler barriers that limit space and prevent a 2.5" drive from fitting. I'm thinking about cutting the barrier out just to see if I can fit a 2nd drive.

Hello, I have a Dell Inspiron 15 7573 2-in-1 laptop. When I install an additional memory stick, i just get a black screen and can't even get into the BIOS. But with a single 8GB stick it runs perfectly fine. Originally wanted to upgrade up to 2x16GB = 32GB of memory, but it seems that everytime that I install both sticks, that's when I get the blackscreen. However when I have just one stick of 16GB Crucial memory in either one of the slots I get freezups after booting up into the desktop. I'm wondering if my laptop even supports Dual Channel mode.

The battery screws are not missing. They go through the back cover and then through the battery into the threaded insert

How do you know when its time to change the battery inside? The battery was not bulging out ridiculously. My Battery Report says 2019-12-29 59,969 mWh 97,003 mWh. Currently I get 3 hours and 30 minutes on a full charge. It's been about 1 year and 6 months on my Dell XPS 9570 i9 and it's an extreme workhorse! I just want to make sure I change the battery at an appropriate time and I don't want to wait to long where it just dies on me!

Hi there, Few weeks ago I suddenly got a Message "Hard Drive not installed" on my Dell Inspiron 17-7000(7778) (i5 processor) series and couldn't access Windows anymore, this was after a lot of years of ongoing screen freeze alongside other issues that I had on 2 same Inspiron laptops since day one and have reported to Dell but unfortunately Dell Customer Service and Support have Failed to Address the Issues tell warranty Expiration and then the Hard Drive failure Came, now I would like to try and upgrade to SSD M.2. in Setup and Specifications I found that I can Install One-m.2 drive and One-2.5 inch drive. Is Samsung 970 EVO Plus NVMe M.2 (1TB) or pro seies compatible?, There woulden't be any Bios issues? And is there a limit of storage capacity that my 4-5 Year old Inspiron-17-i5 can handle on both Hard Drives (primary and secondary). Thanks.

The back part does not just "lift" off.

The screws are all the same, you don't need that magnetic mat, you can damage the hard drive with magnets dude.

I bought a Windows-10 license (USB/external DVD). How do I install just a new fresh copy of windows on that bizarre hard drive? I don't want all that DELL junk that comes with the laptop. The Dell BIOS is horrible.
