@@BsianTech this is what I do as a consumer when buying a laptop. I go to an offline store and feel the device on hand to check the portability. During this time I must say this is a very must-have info. Like the vent placed on arm if one is right hand user of the devices. Plus there are not many reviewers who would go in detail of the business laptops. Thank you for being here.

Wowow! Amazing review! I just bought this on Monday after doing days and hours of research! I didn't find any reviews on the 7410. took me hours to decide until I finalized on dell (I decided on Dell because of the best technical support there is today (especially on the business laptop line) and because of the long warranties (No other company has a 5 year warranty!! Wow! Make sure to purchase it, covers accidental damages as well, seems like you can break it by 'accident' every 5 years and get a new one for $500 warranty:).), then I couldn't decide between a XPS and different Latitudes (I decided on Latitude even I'm not running a business, because it's more powerful, stronger, more reliable etc.), then I ordered the 7310 but decided to change to the 7410 because of the LTE option. Wasn't sure if I made the right investment for $4,000, but now after your review I'm like: YEEESSS!!!! This is the best laptop ever!!! BsianDad Thank you very much! Keep it up! P.S. Hope my battery will hold longer, I had high expectations for it... Mine is still in the cooking process, so let's hope for the best ;)

I recently bought this latitude 7410 2-in 1 and returned it, because I was very disappointed with the battery life, the headphone jack didn't work, it was too heavy, it took very long to start, and some more issues

Very nice and in-depth review. I’m at the 1:04 point. There are no i7 6-core options for the Dell 7410 either in the laptop or 2-in-1 configurations. I exhaustively worked with Dell to max-spec a 7410 I ordered a week ago. Also, if you get a WWAN card, you can’t get a 6-cell battery or a 4K display, but WWAN was a must for me. This is an updated version of the 7390 and 7400. My 7390 gets a little warm, and I usually put something between it and my lap. If you don’t need the WWAN, I’d get the XPS 13. For business travelers, the WWAN with LTE-A, privacy safe screen, and overall flexibility is a very nice package. In the review, it would be worth talking about LTE- CAT-16.

If you don't need WWAN i'd still recommend the 7410 if you want ports.

Thanks very much Daniel Danckaert and welcome to my videos. As for the i7 6 cores I saw it in the spec sheet and would assume it be a configuration open in certain countries or companies. As a large company each Dell computer can be configured specially for a organization needs that isn't even listed on their official website. The spec sheet gives us fully what's on offer. I've got a number of 7400 running around and agree they get a bit warmer than I like for sure generally and spin up the fan much more often, I notice in the 7410 the fan doesn't spin up as often so that has improved. I had a feeling you lose something if the 6 Cell Battery goes in, as for LTE thanks for advising the need for it, its something that isn't use very often if not at all in the country I live in so it's something we don't take note of or have much experience in. I shall try include in my future videos. As for your battery problem, I have a lot of high travellers who travel to many remote areas and the solution we have found for a lot of the battery life issue is for them to travel with a Notebook Power Bank (eg. www.dell.com/en-au/shop/dell-portable-power-companion-18000-mah/apd/451-bbom/pc-accessories or www.dell.com/en-au/shop/dell-notebook-power-bank-plus-usb-c-65wh-pw7018lc/apd/450-ahbo/pc-accessories) these help with long flights.

BsianDad I work out of Washington DC and inside the capital beltway, and there is normally very good 4G LTE service. On road trips, there is also good coverage on interstates. The benefit of the WWAN is decoupling the Wi-Fi signal from your phone. Thus, you consume data for each device separately (each of my devices is limited to 100GB/mo) and it won’t drain the cell phone battery or cause my phone to get hot (which happens when I run hot spots). My 7410 arrives by the 31st. I hope it runs cooler as well. Thank you!

Hi, I am looking forward to your 7750 review. I am also seriously looking at possibly purchasing the Origin Nt-17 laptop as it may be the overall best solution. There is a good review by the the revit kid for the Origin Evo-16s model, however, I also saw some other reviews questioning some of the components quality on That model. You may want to see if you can get an origin nt-17 to review as this company has very few reviews on youtube.

Hi, considering most of the mainstream laptop review sites haven't discovered this model yet your video is a godsend. I'm currently stuck between this and the XPS 13 9300. My understanding is that the XPS has better performance but the Latitude has better durability. I've also read that neither are that good when it comes to thermals or repairability. (e.g. both have their RAM and WLAN cards soldered) With that in mind, would the Latitude still be a better choice over the XPS?

I won't be needing a discrete graphics card so that's out of the question. (And even if I did, both laptops have Thunderbolt 3, which enables eGPUs) Primarily I'd be using it for productivity work (e.g. programming, school work) with very light gaming. But most importantly I prefer a computer that'll last a long time and can be easily maintained. Note: in the time after posting my original comment, I've found a third option which might just be the laptop I've been looking for: the Latitude 5411 -- durable, still lightweight, and non-soldered WLAN/RAM. The one middling thing is its dimmer screen.

@@BrianLee01 Dell now offers to configure a low power 300 nit display + brightness/contrast can also be tweaked via Intel UHD management SW (tho having "naturally" brighter display is definitely better)...

I will see what I can do in regards to getting in the Latitude 3xxx series after these computers.

How does it compare to the latitude 7400 2in1 from last year (especially the display). Last year's model looks and feels more premium. Does 7410 have dell optimizer, express sign-in etc? Also what pen technology does it use?

Sumit Roy, the display and pen support is the same as 7400 since it uses the same pens, The change is more in the thermals, ports, speakers, keyboard, trackpad and of course the processor. This 7410 feels much more solid in performance and less noise which was a massive issue in the 7400 especially connected to a dock. The 7410 does come with the Dell optimizer which is pretty much standard across the 2020 Latitude line up now.

@@BsianTech thank you. So it uses Wacom pen. I was just curious to know if any Wacom pen will work here. Moreover, I saw on Dell website the latitude 9000 series and latitude 9410 2in1 looks more like a successor of 7400 2in1. Are you going to review latitude 9000 series as well?

Is it a good laptop for drawing and using ilustrator and light photoshop ? with pen 579x?

I have tested this out on photoshop, I don't normally run a stylus for my photoshop work but I did pass the laptop with the pen over to my wife who does draw and she seems pretty happy with the Pen579x and this laptop, she didn't have too much issues on it, she does like the thickness of the pen.

was a good laptop,but prone to water damage,(ram located right under the keyboard,ram is also onboard harder to fix)

Sorry to hear you got water damage on yours. Some of the other business laptops do have better liquid drainage design and unfortunately Dell Latitude range isn't one of them.
