This laptop can install only 1 hard drive is it. Unlike the E7240. Does it have a sim slot

Thanks for making this. I put in a phyiscal 2.5" disk, which seem thicker, the laptop bulges now. Is it a special thinner slot?

Hey man, installed one as well and it seems to be the ribbon cable under the ssd that pushes it upward, causing the bulge. It's impossible to flatten it out..

Should be easy enough, the bay looks like a standard 2.5" Sata Drive bay. Hence the adapter for the msata

I see that the SSD uses an adapter to fit and be connected? So, it's posible to use an HDD instead?

yes simply ditch the caddy and replace with 2.5" SSD

I work a hospital and it is ridiculous how much waste goes on there. I found a stack of perfectly good laptops whose hard drives had been removed. They were retired and discarded to the e waste bins. My hidden treasures...

Hi, that SSD in the video is taken from another Latitude E7450. If you remove the mSATA SSD sled then you would be able to insert normal 2,5" SSD. Normal SSDs and mSATA SSDs can be bought from many shops which are selling parts for computers.

You can use your second ssd in the free msata/wwan slot Or you can also move the msata ssd from the adapter to the msata/wwan slot and in SATA III slot use 2,5" ssd/hdd

No you can not do that ...that's wwan hca slot whis is smaller then msata.so in case of e7450.its impossible to use m.2 or second msata.you can upgrade existing msata or ssd

@@nishantkundu6210 I have done it on E7440 but maybe the E7450 is slightly different. But I think it shouldnt matter, from what I can see, both laptops have similar motherboard.

No 7440 means second digit says about screen size ...like 7440 is 14" 7240 is 12". third digit says about year of introduced 7440 is introduced in 2014 where as 7450 is 2015 ....so 7450 is younger the 7440 ...please don't post wrong information.what you says it could be precious for someone.

@@danielridzon I have both E7440 and E7450. For anyone else wondering this question... E7440 can take a second drive, mSATA. E7450 can only use a secondary 2242 NVMe drives, and even if you do, you can't boot off it, only use the NVMe as storage. It doesn't like many brands of NVMe.

Looks like this Dell Latitude E7450 【does not have】 the 【mSATA/WWAN】 slot like DELL e7440 have, that enable to install extra 521GB mSATA SSD. My e7440 i7 4610u pre-installed SSD with Win 10 Pro, I then installed Win 11 Pro on the mSATA slot。 One laptop with 【2 SSD】 and with 【2 OS】, press 【F 12】 to run 10 or 11 ! 。。。。😁😁😁😁👍👍👍👍👍👍
