Can the factory cpu cooler be upgraded to an aftermarket? I know height restrictions, but are cooler mounts are dell proprietary? Or standard that can fit any lg1151 cooler?

I wonder is it possible to upgrade the motherboard wth a newer OptiPlex series one or a more modern brand , would this case support such an upgrade ?

No. This is the downside of buying OEM like HP, Dell, or Acer. They use proprietary components (case, motherboard, power supply, CPU cooler) that are not upgradable outside of a paltry list of OEM components that shipped with the highest SKU for the model you have. Go with a System Integrator (SI) like OriginPC, CyberPower PC, iBuyPower, Apex, Maingear, or NewEgg PC-Builder,. They use all off-the-shelf industry standard PC parts. Everything from the PC case to the power supply to the motherboard is standardized off the shelf (user upgradeable) components.

I hate SFF cabinet...You can't upgrade the PC in future as paer your wish....Bcz the SMPS you can't fit nor motherboard, tower PC is best they are big but you can upgrade them .......But...I think Dell has closed the Beck panel plate of motherboard sokets so that you can't change the mother board by universal plate with other motherboards in future...Is it true...?? Plz reply How ever I love Dell optiplx rock solid body....It's beautiful heavy 👍😊

Do you have any tutorials on how to reformat a Bios Locked DELL OPTIPLEX? alot of OPTIPLEX are on sale online from previos employees. But I cannot reformat it because the BIOS has an admin password.. NEED HELP. Thank you for your contents.
