Great work! Did you consider changing the case? I understand all the front panel wires are proprietary. Harbin repairs has kits but I’m not sure if they would work for this model.

Thanks for the video, that's exactly what I was looking for. I would like to upgrade the PC exactly as in the video, but replace the GPU with the AMD RX 6600. My question now would be whether it would also work with the GPU.

it would work depending on the size and the psu wattage which is typically 460w but it should be fine most likely but i'd recommend replacing the powier supply

Nice build : one small question : how much clearance is there for gpu length-wise ? I see your card is 270 mm, I was wondering if a kfa2 3060ti would fit (290 mm long) ^^

I just bought this pc, with a i5 9500, a RTX 3060 and 32GB RAM for 400 bucks. Looking to upgrade the CPU to a 9900K too. That being said they're still about 200 to 300€. I found a 9700 for 110 bucks, that might do the trick.

I have a spare 2080 super. I was on thinking about getting one of those and only replace the gpu. You reckon the existing cpu/ram could carry me a bit or is it really limited?

Good upgrade. I like the case but the air circulation maybe poor especially that GpU dumping heat insite the case. I am looking to do the same but just a PSU and GPu upgrade using a Quadro P4000. Thanks

a good quality psu with gold rated 500watts and above should be enough to power that setup. brands from seasonic are generally good.

Duuude, you need cooling on that vrm's near cpu. Cause it's gonna destroy your motherboard pretty soon without propper cooling

Just the video I was looking for, awesome. So standard ATX PSU is plug & play, doesn't require any adapters for the motherboard like on some of the previous Precision models like 3620? What is the max card length that can fit in the case?

Thanks for creating the video. How did you get the new LGA 1151 backplate? Also top case fan is verry loud, you did not replace it?

Do you mean CPU backplate?. I removed the four corners from the existing one and used it again. I didn't buy new one. The top fan is not loud to me.

@@PcLaptopUpgrades Thanks, and are you not getting BIOS errors because of different CPU fan? How are the temps? I have the 3630 with the I7 8700K and i am not sure if the cooler will keep it under 75 C on max load (6 cores @ 4300MhZ), both claim to be 95 Watt TDP. You used ddr4 2133 MHZ memory, am i correct in thinking that this is what you had, or did you buy this with a reason (board supports highe, but then again... it will be cheaper i thinkr). I do not hink the BIOS has XMP, what speed is it running in your system?

Hey I'm needing some help. I have a 3630 with the Xeon 2274g processor. I was planning on upgrading the graphics to an RX 6650 XT and upgrading my PSU to have more than 300W. Will the processor be able to handle the graphics card without bottlenecking?

Hi, again another question 😆thx for answering previous. I got my 3630 now and installed front fan and RTX 2060! But the CPU cooler... do you know any low profile coolers that dont require me to remove the motherboard and do installation like you? On 9:54 minute, I see from the intel backplate you can use screws.. can those be used for other coolers?

Hello again. I don't know if those screws can be used for other coolers and if there is any because there are many models on the market. The coolers that I have used until now, including my previous videos, have their own installation equipment that must be used in order to work. I think that you will not achieve it. But you can search on KZfaq for installation guide on low profile coolers. Maybe there is someone else who did that without removing motherboard.

There's an alternative Dell stock cooler that is close to the Pure Rock LP tdp. Look for pn 0T57JF. You have to weigh the benefit of 100w tdp vs not having to fully disassemble your workstation.

By the way, I cannot find that it has microphone connection 3.5mm jack. How do you solve this if my headset needs to be connected with microphone jack and headphone jack?

USB-C microphones are an option, or 3.5mm to USB-C microphone adapter.

i have a 3630 as well, do you know if it is possible to transfer all the components to a gaming pc case or will i have any compatibility issues? if not, which case would work. i will eventually upgrade more but i don’t have the budget for the rest and want to start with a case. i am new to pcs so any help appreciated

Starting from the backplate of motherboard it cannot be removed. So if you transfer motherboard to new case it will not have protection from there. I think that you can transfer motherboard to a new case. The rest of them are easy to install.

Hello thanks for the support. This PC supports 9th generation CPU. It came with i5-9500 and I updated it to 9900kf.

What’s the best/biggest air cooler that will fit in the i7 8700 3630 full ‘tower’ size case? What’s a the maximum cooler height that will fit between the 3630 processor and the case cover? And if removing the case cover helps then I would probably just remove the case cover if the over all cooling effect with a larger air cooler will still work well? Thanks for any suggestions

The only CPU coolers that will fit inside the case are the same as the one that I used in the video. If you use a cooler with bigger height you must remove not only case cover but also the psu mechanism must stay in upper position. I wouldn't do that because cooling is better when computer is closed.

@@PcLaptopUpgradesthanks, the specs for your graphics card seem to say that it is 269.83 mm long, would a gpu just 8mm longer also just manage to fit in the case ok? my MSI GTX 970 twin frozr 4GB gpu is 277.15 mm long Thanks

Also could a silverstone SX600G SFX PSU 125mm W x 63.5 mm H x 100mm D be able to be at least screwed into the PSU bay to secure it safely? I know this is smaller than the Corsair 860W but should it still be able to be secured well enough? Thanks again

@PcLaptopUpgrades thanks, thats great. I was given this 3630 without a hard drive. I also have a 3620 with a 500gb hard drive. Can I just move that hard drive to the 3630? Will it boot from that hard drive? The 3620 has a xeon e3-1225 v5 and the 3630 has i7 9th gen. I want to move my ram and gtx1650 super to that pc also.

Hi, I have the same T3630, but when installing a GTX 1060 it is not detected in the BIOS. What can I do? I dont have Windows installed yet, but should I install windows and see if I can detect it?

Hello. Install windows and upgrade your bios from windows update if GPU is not recognized after windows installation.

This pc meets system requirements for Windows 11. Temp with graphic card is ok. If there was a lit bit of space would be awesome.
