Picked up 2 of them. They’re currently on sale at Dell for $219. Going from 60hz-70hz to 144hz makes a HUGE difference.

This monitor was my strongest candidate for upgrade, but that backlight bleeding, yikes! Wasn't very thrilled by the curvature either, but not many options there. What would you recommend, considering that I want nice contrast and brightness, decent colors, 27", preferably FHD so my RTX 3060 can handle for a while all the heavy single player games I play, and as far as refresh rate goes, I just want it to have G-sync, but anything above 100hz is pointless for my needs, would be even fine with 75 if it supported variable refresh rate. Generally I want best picture quality for single player games. What would you suggest? Thanks!

I'm so stuck! This dell is on sale at BestBuy and I wouldn't have to wait for it. But The KTC H24T09P is not on sale for the same price but has HDR and I guess more hz? (165) but I'd have to wait two weeks still using my now flickering monitor that lasted way longer than expected.

Just got the dell S2722DGM (27 inch 1440p 165hz VA) for just 279.99 on amazon brand new. Black smearing is really annoying but not as bad as IPS glow (in my opinion). Mine also has no backlight bleed which surprised me (like almost ZERO). I think this one is worth it for me, although the brightness feels disappointing. It looks to be less bright than my 300 nit laptop panel even though the specs say 350 nits. Got unlucky I guess :(

IPS glow is panel lottery, I mean how much and how bad at certain points (All IPS panels will have a level of glow). But if you hit the jackpot, You'll have barely any, And that's when IPS shits all over VA imo! Color depth and brightness, Far better response and viewing angels (IPS panel quality can very too but in general is always better), That's what I'm all about! High contrast is something I can easily live without as long as those other things are in place.

I have had this monitor for a few years now and it suffers badly from black crush, its got deep blacks, so good that everything is too deep black!

Hi I'm looking to buy the Xbox series s and mainly play warzone. I have seen that on the series s you can achieve 120fps at 1080p on warzone. I was wondering what your recommendation would be for a monitor that suits that for under £300?

Great video. Can you please provide some insight into g sync compatibility for this monitor? I have a display port 1.2 plugged in and the refresh rate is 144Hz, but I can't seem to enable g sync in the Nvidia control panel. The g sync option is missing. I'm using a 1070 GPU with the latest drivers on an updated windows 10 machine.

@@TotallydubbedHD If you mean AMD Freesync Premium then yes, but the monitor turns black for a second and the picture comes back but all I can see is the desktop. The mouse cursor is not visible, blindly pressing keyboard commands like getting into task manager or shutting down works but without screen prompts. Disabling the AMD freesync fixes the issue. Also tried turning Vsync on in Nvidia control panel without any result. Thanks for the help.

@@milanioom connected over displayport, right? Might just be your GPU not wanting to work with it, even though it technically should. Had no problems with my card, but that's a newer generation

Hi, I'm planning to buy a 27" monitor and can't decide between 3 monitors... I play some games just for fun, when I can, watch some movies and the rest is the normal use. I know that for my profile, I'd be better off with and IPS flat screen but.. all my choices are curved and VA screens. :P My choices are: - AOC Gaming 27" C27G2ZE VA FHD 240Hz FreeSync 0.5ms - Dell 27" S2721HGF FHD 144hz FreeSync Premium 1ms - AOC Gaming 27" C27G2ZU VA FHD 240Hz 0.5ms FreeSync I know the Dell monitor is one your favourites in this "range" and that's why it shows on my list, but from these 3 which one would you buy? Smart move! Yes would recommend the Dell if you're only looking at a VA, and not a hardcore gamer. If you are wanting 240hz, then I'd look at an IPS panel

Coming from a AOC C27G1 (switched to nvidia, need g-sync) I was very let down by this monitor. Nobody seems to mention how badly this monitor suffers from black smearing. It's horrid. I keep trying to mess with it because all these reviews on this monitor are wonderful.. but jeez it's bad.

Hola le acabo de comprar a mi hijo un i5 10450f y una GTX 10650 OC y 16 Gg de ram. Me aconsejas este modelo o el S2522hg ,,es que el quiere de 27" pero me dicen q es mejor de 25" ,,yo no entiendo casi nada ,me vendria muy bien tu ayuda graciass.

25" will give you higher ppi (pixel density) vs 27" at 1080p (Full HD) - but if you want the larger size, the 27" is still perfectly fine.

Ha, funny you mention that, as Adam from PC Monitors and I were talking about that. There are barely (if not any) flat screen VA budget 1080p 144hz+ monitors
