I had to use a cable because for some reason I was getting a black screen when connected via bluetooth, doesn't happen on my Venue 11 Pro.
Edit: Turns out I was connected to the 2.4ghz network, so having bluetooth on really messed up the connection speed. Connected to the 5ghz band I can use bluetooth just fine.

are you able to use the ps4 app and the smart clip away from home as long as your connected to wi-fi

Connect controller to tablet (google DS4 to xinput wrapper). Download steam on tablet, select game you want to play and hit stream.
