For me, Dellville is a unique bridge because of its quietness. It's always been one of my favorite ones to visit before the fire and after the reconstruction. Well worth exploring on a nice day. Nice video, as always.

I think this is my favorite of all your bridge videos so far. Such beautiful woodwork on the inside. So glad it was rebuilt.

That’s my wife and my swimming hole. Nothing is quite as American as swimming and wading in a creek under a covered bridge! The road was re-routed around the bridge before it burned. The site is a popular site for photographers, and I have seen several car photo shoots there. The bridge was on the major route out from Carlisle, the early equivalent of modern RT 34. That makes sense if you look at a topographical map. The loss of the bridge was indeed devastating. Hard to imagine anyone wanting to destroy it just for fun! Great place for launching a kayak into Sherman’s creek! There’s even a little launching area.

The irony here is we were watching your last bridge video and my husband remarked, Did he ever go to the Dellville bridge? Imagine our surprise and happiness to see this video today?!! When I worked in Harrisburg, I deliberately went to work that way just to pass the bridge every day. Of course there were many time that I went OVER this bridge prior to its closing. I am so glad the county rebuilt it and have it preserved.

A beautiful spot for a beautiful bridge. I am having mixed emotions, I feel happy that they rebuilt the bridge , sad that the original wood for it is gone forever and angry that someone could be so cruel and heartless.😢. What benefit did they get out of doing such a thing? I'm just shaking my head at all the senselessness in the world today.

There’s a special place in hell for people who burn these relics and a place in heaven for the guys who rebuild them. Great location.

I saw this in person the morning after. All that remained was a blackened skeleton. I’ve lived in Perry county my whole life. I love our covered bridges

I just cannot understand the twisted mindset that decides to burn down historic structures there is no reason for such actions.
