My only trip on a 747, was in 1972: Delta DFW-LAX. I was 7.

I grew up in the LA area and it just so happens the city I lived in was near the flight path for LAX. I used to use binoculars and watch out of my second floor bedroom as the planes would come by. Now this was back in the late 60's. I'd see Delta 747 from Atlanta, National 747 from Miami, Eastern 747 from Atlanta etc during the morning rush. In the late afternoon we'd get a screaming Air New Zealand DC-8 fly right over my house nearly everyday. Early evening was an SAS DC-8 or Super DC-8 from Copenhagen and Seattle. The highlight was the BOAC VC-10 from London and New York. From LAX it would go on to Honolulu, Nadi and finally Sydney, Australia. This was over 50 years ago and my love for airplanes has only grown more. I sit out here at Las Vegas airport for hours watching the planes land. Not as much fun as it was in the early 2000's when they were so many unusual airlines flying in here. Thanks for the video. enjoyed it.

My favorite airline in the & my favorite color scheme as the logo in the 80's into the 90's. I had a Inflight200 model of a Delta Air Lines Boeing 747 like this one in the thumbnail. Then of course been years since Dekta Air Lines had thr 747 in their fleet until Northwest Airlines & Delta Air Lines merged which then Delta Air Lines aquired 747's until retiring the 747 in recent years.
