Delta Shower Valve Temperature Adjustment | Increase Cold Water to Hot Water | Easy 5 Minute DIY

We remodeled 3 bathrooms in our house and installed Delta Valves and Trim in each of the showers.

ORIGINAL WATER TEMPERATURE:
Water Heater set to HOT
Sink near shower: 140 degrees Fahrenheit
Shower Temperature: 104.9 degrees Fahrenheit (10 feet away from the sink)
TEMPERATURE AFTER ADJUSTMENT:
Using the temperature adjustment gear in the R10000 and the spring-loaded adjustment on the In2ition I was able to get the temperature on each shower much hotter - greater than 120 degrees Fahrenheit.
R10000 139.9 degrees Fahrenheit
In2ition 130.1 degrees Fahrenheit
CAUTION: 120 degrees Fahrenheit is considered scalding to most people’s skin - please keep temperatures in a safe zone especially if children will be using the showers.
The adjustments were very easy to accomplish. They took less than 5 minutes for each shower. And as a result of the modifications, I was able to lower the temperature on the water heater which saves us money on natural gas usage.

Steve! You Magnificent Fixit! I watched dozens of videos about resetting my Delta faucet temp adjuster, supposedly, and they were all shot or edited in ways omitting all the important steps of the process -- or worse yet, their fixes turn out imperfect, and the KZfaqr finishes the video shrugging, "Oh well, better than paying a plumber" or some such. YOU, and only you, skipped all the jibber-jabber and simply showed every element I needed to know to make this simple adjustment myself. Thanks for explaining this simple, simple fix without confusing me with extraneity. My family thanks you.

Before I take mine apart (it has one handle for both open/close and hot/cold) is it possible this could also solve a problem where a person wants to take a cold shower(not me lol) and doesn't get water pressure? To me, it seems like....how could you get strong flow AND all cold when fully clockwise is OFF, and when you begin rotating the handle counter clockwise, it gradually opens the valve with cold, then warm, then hot. To me it seems the faucet was designed for warm/hot showers only.

The temperature of my boiler (water heater) is 160 but still the water is warm not even hot

We're busy with lots of other projects. In the past 3 years we've remodelled 3 bathrooms, built 2 outdoor shorage sheds, installed new triple sliding patio doors, new garage doors and just had a sunken family room filled in. Plus we're redeveloping our website. But, stand by, we've got more videos on the way. Just shot one today.
