At first I didn’t really like the theory that the man giving you eggs is Gaster but now I love it because I think it would be fucking hilarious if the most mysterious character served absolutely no purpose other than to cryptically give you eggs

Who's this man behind the tree? Well, I really think that it's Gaster based on the fact that in Undertale, there's an easter eg in the true lab that if you click on something, there'll be a tree and a man but when you actually see the room after the fog (which is the fridge room where you fight Crystal) and there's no tree and no man and how the true lab was a place where Gaster used to work, we conclude that the man behind the tree is Gaster himself, but is this evidence really enough? What I'm trying to say is that there is evidence that it can be someone else. Now think of these 2 words: "Offer" and "man". Now, what weird man offers something? Mike, the one who corrupted Spamton. Now, why Kris is the only one who can go to the tree room? What is inside the shelter? And why does Kris have powers than can turn her eyes red and a knife appearing out of nowhere? Well, I personally think that Mike AKA Gaster corrupted Kris' mind in the shelter and is influencing her to open the dark fountains. When Kris is evil, she's actually being influenced by Gaster AKA Mike. Heck, Gaster probably is disguising himself as Mike. Why do I think that? Because I think that the entity that corrupted Spamton is the same entity that corrupted Jevil (and both Jevil and Spamton represent Kris). So we know that this entity who's Gaster can travel though different dark worlds and go to the light world and corrupt mind of darkners and lightners and now, there's 1 question? Why did Gaster corrupt Kris'mind and then Jevil's and Spamton's? Well, first I want to look back at entry number 17. He mentions that the darkness keeps growing, the shadows cutting deeper and photon readings negative. Now "photon readings negative" is already interesting because we know that Gaster is experimenting on dark energy so I can conclude that he was doing an experiment on the dark fountains using determination (of the 6 humans souls because this was while Alphys' experiments). Remember, he built the DT extraction machine, so obviously he wanted to do experiments with determination and people with determination can open dark fountains. How Alphys' experiments didn't work, Gaster had another solution: Alphys' experiments were to free the monsters from the underground, but Gaster had another solution. He wanted to create a game universe since Undertale was all a game where monsters and humans never entered in war. He used photons (light and dark energies) to create this world because of the dark fountains connected to determination. That's why the plot is the conflict between lightners and darkners. But, the power of determination made him shatter across time and space. But why did Gaster need a plot? So the game could work, and the best candidate for the knight was Kris herself. Now some evidences that Kris is the knight but only when she's not possessed by us: The knight used a knife to create the dark worlds, just like Kris. The darkners who met the knight didn't recognize them as Kris because Kris is a different person when she's not possessed by us. The knight is referred by them like Kris. Now the other reason that the Deltarune world needed a story is because in Undertale, we as Frisk, create our own story, but this time, Toby Fox, the supreme entity who made the 2 worlds, wanted Deltarune to be his story, that's why the player is not Kris. Now, there are darkners who resemble Gaster like: Seam, Roulxs Kaard, Jevil, Spamton and Swatch. Now there are some darkners who look like Kris: Ralsei, Spade King, Lancer Spade and Cyber Queen. I think this is showing that both Kris and Gaster are involved in the creations of dark worlds. Now what is the angel's heaven? I think it is the source of the dark fountains but it actually goes deeper..... The angel is very important in father Alvin's religion and we know that Kris and Catti studied occult stuff together. What if father Alvin is hiding something from his religion? I think he knows about the existance of dark fountains because he wanted to use his father's hammer for something mysterious.... I say: Creating a dark world. A dark world where Gerson Boom is still alive. Remember, you can create your dark world by orchestrating the darkners and the dark world's past. So, I believe that Kris created the characters we love: Ralsei, Lancer, King, Queen etc. She was creating the dark worlds right before Asriel was coming from college, and Gaster can switch identities. So what if to still hide Gaster's identity, Mike will reveal himself to be a paralel of Asriel, not the real one. Deltarune is all a story from Kris and Gaster.

hmm..... still not sure if the man is Spamton or not. Apparently checking pipis on the snowgrave route says that they're eggs, which would make sense since Spamton NEO does say "Kris, think! What are my [eggs] going to do?!" I hope that the man behind the tree is Spamton. If i recall, in chapter one putting the egg in the fridge makes it multiply, so... like... if that egg from the man and pipis is the same thing then it'd make sense as to why that one Queen's room just has pipis everywhere

here's something funny When I was much younger, around the age of 9 or 10, I was in the undertale fandom for the first time. This was atleast two years before deltarune chapter 1. Obviously, I made fanart, a crap ton of it, not exacly the best quality. Used to be a huge fan of(and still am) gaster, so there were a fair couple of drawings of him. The funny part is, I remember once I started by drawing his head, and didn't like it so I scribbled some funny caption and tossed it to start over on a new paper. Wouldn't you know it, the caption was "egg head/man". Just thinking about this now and connecting the dots, it's a little freaky with all the egg buisness in deltarune.
