I like this concept mostly with how well it balances with funny, normal, and dramatic stuff.

The way the creator combined the blue and purple soul effects was GENIUS, i just wish they would have combined more, like yellow and green, giving you a 4 directional gun with a back shield

God, this is so slept on. The battle, the dialogue, the little details the the different attack and defend icons for each character, the buttery smooth animation, this is gonna be the next big Deltarune fangame.

Omg this fangame is so refreshing after years of nothing but sans fight. The attack design is so fucking creative. It makes me remember those old days of cyf mod like 'It's you it's me, your battle,etc'. Prob on the people who worked on this project. I used to be so hyped with ut:thanatos and greensans but tbh it is nothing compared to this

The glitching effects are quite heavy-handed but aside from that, great fangame! The way the undertale movesets were implemented into the game are really creative

it would be very toby-like to have rouxls kaard be the most powerful being in the deltarune universe simply because he references the rules card and it's funny also, i do like the detail that his own rules backfire on himself for instance, "the enemy cannot be damaged" also applies to kris, meaning nobody gets to attack eachother for that turn

I love this because not only is this basically a love letter to UTDR but in the context of the weird route we're hauling Kris along for the ride here and they just watched as Rouxls hauled their Brother, Mother and Father out of a box to use as a one-off attack

One of the best and most original Deltarune fangames i've seen! some attacks on that last phase seem a little repetitive, but the music and sprites are very nice, and Rouxls speaking in perfect english is one of the most threatening things i've seen in a UT/DR Fangame. Second only to the entirety of MANOS and Cool Bird shattering the fight slider.

Rouls Kaard actually is super strong, like he can hit as hard as Jevil and he can also do some super powerful attack, but he was hindered by the fact he mostly became a statue.

When i saw "no more games, no more puzzles" Im instantly thought of disbelief papyrus

My only problem with this is that it doesn't feel like the weird route. The weird route seems like it's trying to distance itself by genocide by being more complex. You still have to kill everyone and get to skip puzzles, but you have to kill them in a specific way, make certain choices, buy two rings to continue, and messing up any of these things can end the whole run. You are manipulating people into doing your dirty work, where as here you just do it yourself. Other than that it was really cool and felt like something toby might actually make. Other than the glitching, it was cool when it reset the tp bar but just being a visual affect after that was just annoying.

A very fascinating take on Rouxl, I do say. I really like the idea that Rouxl had to be limited by his own creativity and stuck with simple puzzles for fun hijinks because once he knew the full extent of controlling the rules of The Game would cause... A Game Over. He must not know his full potential, case in point, this phenomenal battle. That fear knowing even Rouxl can't K.O. you permanently, that there's rules he cannot change, shows what power the Player truly has. Because, how can you have a Game if you erase the protagonist? So what does he do? How to stop the Player permanently? End the Game. He wasn't trying to avoid damage from the Player. He was trying to avoid becoming a statue, at least until the Game Over arrived. Heck, Jevil got a spot in the action and turned into stone too. He probably thought it was worth it though. But what I love most about this, is Rouxl Kard fought standing. Despite knowing failure is imminent, he went down standing. As a great man would. Or in his case, a great dad.

There's some really creative stuff here! The only real comment I'd have is that some of the attack boxes are really big / empty, which gives the player a lot of freedom to dodge. I'd tighten them up even just a little bit to amp up the pressure. Love the general vibe and the different stages this goes through. Some fun jokes and very cool references. Rouxls Kaard is like that one character that sucks and is only used for comedic relief until later in the story, where he becomes actually strong and starts trying.

I feel like at 37:24 after that important rule/decree he should've introduced "plausibilty" or that itself should've forcibly replaced "tp" like you're forced to fill the gauge on purpouse to proceed and make him weaker? Be able to hit him? Also a good moment for this could've been when the party members left, kris doesn't cast magic so rouxls should've said something about it, like a regeneration bar or something.

I love how when he takes a final stand he ditchs the acent, which means hes serousis!

this fight is actually a lot deeper than it looks, because the Weird Route is all about trying to MAKE your choices impact the world despite it clearly telling you any of your choices will have no effect on the story. SImilar to Undertale where the world and its ideologies is against your idea that everyone can be saved, Deltarune is against your idea that your choices MATTER. So when you return to Undertale with Rouxls, its like you're longing for that CHOICE to impact peoples lives however you want. You dont want to murder everything you see, you just want your choices to MATTER to this world. But when you return to the Deltarune world, ROUXLS STILL WRECKS SHOP ON YOUR ASS!! Its a message to the player to be content with the world they're given than to chase the feelings you had when you were playing Undertale, because they're ENTIRELY DIFFERENT GAMES. This is why Toby Fox keeps emphasizing they're different games, to discourage players to stop chasing CHOICE but in the end its all a brilliant ruse to reveal deltarune's true ending, that being where your choices actually made a difference.

I love how the undertale phase is a mixture of all of the under tale mini bosses and bosses

Good concept, mid execution. Toby Fox’s games thrive on their writing first and foremost and that just isn’t present here. UT references were way too heavy handed and a lot of the attacks boiled down to “Large screen where stuff gets thrown at you.” If you had a game with elements extending outside just this fight, you may have had something special, but there’s only so much you can realistically achieve with zero setup. Example: Berdly’s Weird Route fight. It’s short and recycles attacks, but it REALLY hits home because it pays off everything the Weird Route was setting up for. The unnatural animation for Snowgrave is an _exception,_ and not the status quo, so it feels more impactful. Breaking the rules feels like it doesn’t mean much in this fan game.
