I was on the guest list for Dinosaur Jr at the end of this month and they canceled the entire tour so that's a huge bummer thankfully I have seen them before but I don't believe that Folk Implosion has ever done a real tour and this record came out 1995.

Try Surf Curse- "Freaks". Also, The Thermals- "Here's Your Future". Majority of a band, Teen Suicide's, discography is low-fi punk rock like this. You could start with their album, "Waste Yrself/DC Snuff Film", and then songs like, "lonely boy goes to a rave", "everything is fine", "bad news", "don't like me" and "benzo" :)

This song is so damn good but where the song was placed in Kids was excruciatingly brilliant. He was fucking this poor, manipulated girl in the worst way possible. Being a girl watching that opening scene made me hurt so bad because I could only imagine how painful it would be to be like slammed into like that as a virgin. Ugh!! And the beginning of this song almost reminds me of the sound a nail gun makes which made the scene that much harder to watch!! Man Telly had like no empathy

I like this song, I feel as though I can relate to the subject matter. But those guys in the video up there, they look like such hipsters. Hipsters before hipsters really became a thing, maybe in America they would have been referred to as townies or something during the mid 90s, I don't know. Whatever the case, as far as I'm concerned they're proto-hipsters and consequently this is hipster music.
