This is what gets me with the Republican party harping on day and night about 'wokeness'. They say everyone is already equal so no special considerations should be given to groups of people. Isn't gerrymandering then hypocritical because if we were all equal then everyone's vote should 'weigh' the same as everyone else's and a PONTUS would be elected purely on the popular vote. Just imagine, Trump would never have been pres.

@@Oohmymymy : What I know is that out of two people expelled , the white person got back in by 1 vote and she said what I was kind of thinking ; it was her skin colour that kept her job . I heard Mr. Jones speak and he a very sharp guy , he knows his facts , he was polite and told the truth . My feeling is that in a State like Tennessee , he would considered " upp-ed-ty " and they don't like when people of colour tell them just how wrong they are . They still behave like " know your place ! "

America has a serious problem , with approximately 45,000 gun deaths a year. That’s deaths, not injuries. The rest of the world cannot believe this is allowed to continue.

Second of all, the definition of fascism is a movement that promotes the ideal of a forcibly monolithic regimented nation under one ruler or ideology. Dissent is not allowed in that system. These lawmakers dissented. They didn't try and forcibly overthrow a government, which is what happened on Jan. 6th. Get your talking points straight. This is how conservatives lose.

Politicians have no shame. You cannot shame them no matter how much hypocrisy you point out in their decisions, they are unphased. That speech while the people heard it and would react to it, it fell on deaf ears in that chamber. This is why nothing will ever change in this country. So long as the public remains divided this democratic experiment will remain the same and resist any further change.
