Even though Draymond wanted to protect Demar's feelings, we know damn well the result wouldnt be the same w/o Kawhi and thats facts based on just the Philly series alone. Kawhi was carrying that team dropping 35 a night on like 60% shooting from 2 and 55% from 3 and it took them 7 games with him playing at his all time best. I do not think Demar is capable of playing at that level even though I respect his game.

Yup. And like owlxart, I love demars game and his midrange game but lets be real, even if he wouldve stayed in toronto, the farthest they wouldve gone was the ecf and lost in game 5-6. Kawhi elevated that team to an all time great playoff squad and for himself also.

As a Bulls fan I can say Chicago loves DeMar already. He’s an MVP player for us so far and is a baller !!

@@surajoruganti5728 maybe at first the deal had more players (like siakam and og which were in the rumours along with demar) but then things change when the spurs ended saying they'll Demar, Jakob and a protected 1st round pick. I remember i didn't wanna do the trade until I saw the details. Once i saw we got kawhi AND danny green i was veryyyyyy content with the trade.

Masai was professional based on the circumstances. What I think happened is when they met Spurs prob had already rejected their deal and no deal on the table but during this time Kawhi made it clear he wants out and thats when Spurs decided to go back on Masai's deal. If he knew, he wouldve told him based on how he tried to keep getting in touch with him to tell him he's traded before he hears it from anywhere else.

Is he a genius now ? Raptors are beyond sorry and Kawhi never stayed. Meanwhile demar had an MVP season

It makes sense when you hear him talk about how scared he was to leave Compton when he could've gone anywhere in the country for college basketball. He seems like a guy who gets really attached to his surroundings and people around him. He left his comfort zone and learned how to survive and grow up in Toronto so that's probably why that area means so much to him. Having to move again after making that his new home probably brought upon a lot of anxiety.
