DeMar is amazing and reminiscent of Kobe, but his play makes me see how difficult it is to replicate Kobe's footwork, which was incredibly quick for its complexity.

This is the thing, I love DeMar dude is so smooth, but Kobe was smooth and was really really quick. Especially when it comes to his spins, DeMar was never a quick dude though really high vertical but never the quickest. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/itCeZsaYuJ68gas.html look at this move, the very first move on the video. Shit was peaked footwork masterclass.

@@alsymphony7868i think its slower so he is more in controlled with his shots. only a very few can hit crazy unbalanced shots like kobe, mike, and kd

@@leeducationjames5558 Better footwork? Kyrie has been an avid Kobe fan so he also mimics Kobe's footwork. And those crazy crossovers Kyrie does require above average footwork. Kyrie and Demar both elite in footwork.

@@jalo3087 Kyries been a fan but DeMar was part of the first Mamba camp, he was rly Kobe's first kinda mentee, ppl talking bout Giannis or Tatum or D book but it was DeMar, then Kawhi who he took under his wing first, and it shows especially in DeMar

He can do the same moves, but, he can’t replicate the ‘How’. Kobe’s footwork is graceful/ballet like. Derozan is stiff. I agree with you. Only the extremely meticulous can see the difference. Also derozan has duck feet slightly. His footwork is nice but not Kobe/MJ level.
