You know an artist is so dedicated to the storytelling of their work when they reenact such a horrific night of their life for a music video. That must have taken an unbelievable amount of strength that I can't even begin to imagine. Demi's work ethic is something else.

I had something similar happen (almost died from taking something) but not with the serious drugs she used. It was when I was 15. I’m now 18 and still cannot even wear the clothes I wore that night, still have panic attacks when I hear an ambulance, still have PTSD from the night it happened. The fact that this happened so recently for her and she put on the same clothes, brought a whole crew in to produce this video, relived her nightmare, relived a night when she was raped and left for dead- that takes guts. I will forever admire that because of the absolute strength it must have taken.

Came out a year ago, and I understand this applies to addiction in all forms, but I took it more in the sense of depression. I have chronic depression, stress, and anxiety, and this song perfectly describes how I feel when I relapse too. And it almost sent me to my grave a few months ago. I hope anyone who is an addict, or just suffers from mental health disorders, gets help and knows that you're not alone. There is always someone out there like you, and if you cant believe that, just believe in whatever God or higher power to give you strength because you CAN make it out. Praying for you all who can relate 🫶🏼❤️

Addiction to drug’s especially heroin is nothing comparable to depression. 😂 I’ll trade my 14 year fight with addiction for just depression any day. You can keep the cravings the anxiety the depression the suicidal thoughts the vomiting the explosive shit the restless leg syndrome that won’t let you be comfortable in any position the high blood pressure the fast heart rate the insomnia that last days you start to hallucinate the horrible debilitating pain in your bones and joints that last for weeks and have long lasting effects for the rest of your life. You start to think “I’m just a worthless junkie why not just jump in front of this train” “I can’t do this, just call your dealer “ Knowing it can all be over if you just take a hit. That’s not close to depression.

I love the way demi was so vulnerable enough to make this video. I have been listening to her from the beginning. She is definitely a strong person. I watched the little dancing with the devil episodes. I noticed not only did she put her story out in a way that others could not imagine, she was wearing the same outfits as the in the days leading to her overdose. I absolutely love Demi. In her song sober she says 'I'm sorry for the fans I lost who watched me fall again. I wanna be a role model, but I'm only human.' And the thing is she still is. She didn't have to open up and tell this story of her overdose. But she did. And it didn't make her fall, it made her open up and be stronger than she was before. I hope she continues to climb higher and be a voice everybody can listen to!!

The fact she had the courage and strength to recreate this is mind blowing!! I almost overdosed on heroin and it was the scariest thing to go through!! It changed me so much . I’m 6 months clean now , I wouldn’t have the strength to recreate my overdose the way she did .. it makes me cry every time .. she is something else !! I love her ! She is a blessing !! So real and transparent. !! She needs more credit!! Such a beautiful soul ! This song makes me so emotional!! Hits different when you’ve been through the same thing !! ❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹

But I also if given the chance would like to thank her for trusting her gut to go in the call 911 regardless of "getting in trouble". She's one of the main reasons Demi is still with us. And this right here is what separates her from being just an “artist” and being a light house for those of us who struggle through this everyday. Other artists who’ve danced with the devil shushed it and hid it from there fans. She’s a revolution.

Absolutely gut-wrenching. The duffle bag, the trash who SA her and left her for dead, the way her team found her unresponsive, nearly dying in that hospital bed. But she survived and is doing so much to help remove the stigma around addiction. I’m so glad she’s still here to tell her story.

@@coloritr.o.y6197 her drug dealer carried a duffle bag full of drugs around with him, she ran into him at a party 6 years later with it and that’s when she relapsed, he also brought it over to her house the night she overdosed. She said it was like going shopping because he had like every drug imaginable in that bag and she tried nearly all of them, most for the first time including h*roin.

In a weird way, this entire album feels like her 'debut' album. She has always been honest and open; but all these songs feel like one cohesive story, with no 'hit' or 'commercial single' in mind. Just a narrative from track 1-19, like albums used to be. I applaud her for telling this story.
