That she writes and talks about it is her way of coping with the situation, no matter if it happened a long time ago. At least she's no longer as depressed as she seemed to be before. This book isn't about Ashton, but it's her life story starting with a turbulent childhood and alcoholic mother who pimped her out at age 15 for 500 dollars. It's also about letting people know about her mistakes. Demi has a right tell her story so that other women can learn from her mistakes. Much of what was said was taken out of context. Ashton was a part of her life and how she at that time of their relationship would do anything to keep Ashton and be the wife that he wanted her to be. She lost herself in the process and turned to alcohol after 20 years of sobriety after her 6 month miscarriage. Ashton also pressured her into drinking again by saying a couple of glasses of alcohol won't hurt. It's a story about someone who came from nothing and had nothing and became one of the most famous women in the world. She had everything you could dream of and lost much of herself when the miscarriage came and the marriage fell apart. Demi fell apart because she gave everything to Ashton and it wasn't enough. It took a lot to help her find he way back and wanted other women to know the truth and not to make the same mistakes that she did. Don't judge until you read the book..

Stop saying that he was a kid. He was a grown ass man. He was just younger than her. He was not kid. Please let's let children keep their own spaces. That man was in his early 20s. That's not a child. Knock it off. My 13 year old is a child. She should have married someone who more mature and had more life experiences under their belt. People don't understand that an older woman being with a younger guy doesn't always prove as successful...as when an older man is with a younger woman. People want it to be even so badly and it never will be. The first time that older woman starts bitching and complaining to that younger guy she automatically puts herself in the Mom zone. It's easier for younger women to be with older men than it is the other way around. Demi is/was youth obsessed. It became embarrassing. I remember, seeing pictures of her at a party, acting like a teenager for the paparazzi (she was over 40 at last). Even Lenny Kravitz, who was sitting next to her, was embarrassed. Ashton was a perfect accessorie to prove herself and the media, how young and cool she is. She needed a therapist, not a teenage boyfriend or plastic surgery.

After understanding where she was coming from at the time she married Ashton Kutcher, she really had no one to turn to for guidance and i do not care how old ya get, everyone at any age will be in need at some point in their lives guidance and wise counsel. Sadly people can break each other down , then daily responsibilities, and facing painful events that take place in life that are just unavoidable will cause even the strongest of the elite to break down and be on a self destructive path. I rather focus on the awesome job Demi did in raising her daughters, and being there for her mother when her mother was dying of cancer than to nitpick what she was doing with her personal adult life with another consensual adult. Who hasn't messed up in life, i would like to meet them.

That is abusive to a whole new level. ANd then he actually cheats on their wedding anniversary so that every upcoming wedding anniversary she will no longer think of their wedding but be reminded that he cheated and if that was not enough then he can't even bother to wear a condom but he risks giving her HIV so that her life and safety no longer have value to him when he is the man and supposed to protect her instinctively, but instea she has to go get tested for HIV repeatedly and live in fear because he did not even respect her enough to wear a condom.
