Honestly I’m 25 and legit have no friends, I work from home and I’ve just moved from Scotland to England! No one told us how hard it is to make and maintain friendship as an adult, it’s very isolating.

@@saralongridge4648 yes I totally get that. I guess I'm cautious who I have in my life and obviously that prevents me from having friends. However in the past I've had friends who just used and abused our friendship

I get down about this but it’s both comforting and sad to hear so many others experience this! I just want some more friends I can go for coffee, brunch, shopping and hang out with especially as I’m about to move into a flat by myself 🥺

It does change when kids come along as you meet and make new friends through them. Also big friendship groups are hard to maintain. Good content!

I lost my best friend to suicide, the loneliness after was unreal, she someone I picked and loved, I have few friends but nothing compared to what me and dovile have we were so equal yet 2 very different people, have me wee family husband, 2 boys and my pug all I truly need, also I have friends from school I see a few times a year to, if something terrable going on I know they are there x

I was the same as you Demi last year following lockdown (I actually also live in Newcastle!). I joined bumble BFF and made such a great best friend who I love so much. We talk all the time, go out and away together, so lovely to have more friends like you say! Not to replace the old ones 😊 So I really recommend the app to anyone reading this xx

I'm glad you were able to go from being a loner to having a close group of amazing friends, you really are lucky. Unfortunately I have gone pretty much my entire life being a loner, when I was in high school I had "friends" but they weren't really friends so in a way I was still a loner and since I left high school I have been a literal loner ever since and I am in my 30's now. I did try making friends in jobs but nobody liked me or wanted to be my friend even though I'm super nice, I developed social anxiety in my 20's and it just progressed as I got older so now I barely leave the house and I'm at a point in my life where I'm ok being a loner and I don't need or want any friends since the "friends" I had in the past were a massive dissapointment and no one wants to be my friend anyway but I'm cool with it coz I'm very independent and I don't crave human interaction

I have the same besties since kindergarten..I'm now 40 they are like my sisters...BUT that's it I haven't got the energy to make new friendships it's just too much work, I cant be fake either..my friends get me and thats enough! I've tried but can't keep new "friends " and I like being in my comfort zone!

I love this Demi ❤ socialising can be v hard as we get older. I have friends from ppl i work with in jobs etc but it'd be nice to have friends that have the same interests as me or similar 😅 if anyone is based in the Manchester area watching/reading this and open to friend ships I'm all for it. 27 in Newcastle and my whole life I’ve been surrounded by people and I’d say the last 5 years I’ve fully just ended up a complete loner almost scared to go out and make connections. The only connections I make seem to be through work as my customers but always feels weird making that step to actually be ‘friends’ Defo should be an app for friends or even mixers in Newcastle for people like us!! make it happen mama x

Im 36 this year, other than my partner, i just don’t have many, im quite introverted so other than work it’s hard and they often are a lot younger than me but I try my best but I think im lucky if I have 2 people I could hang with. And maybe once a month for a “coffee” But even then they aren’t my type of people, im a big kid, into Asian culture, cute things, games and so finding people for me it’s hard. People my age im my city like me don’t exist. I want a friend to be silly with. Instagram it’s nice to see they exist but I wish I had one.

I want a friend that has her own life and wants to meet up once or twice per year lol, i need a space. I had a friend who wanted to meet up every month and i honestly couldn't do it. He ended up blocking me because he felt that i wasn't making any effort 😂, i didn't realise adults blocked each other, i thought we left this at school. He didn't understand what it meant for me to be an introvert who really struggled with socialising. I just wanted to be alone most of the time

I’m exactly the same, I hardly have any friends and the ones that I do have are work friends. If I’m honest I don’t even know how to make friends.. mainly because I don’t know what to talk about. I have no hobbies, not many interests, I work from home so pretty much spend 24/7 in my house.. what do I talk about?! My favourite colour? Childhood traumas? I just don’t know 😬🤣
