I bought one of these today along with 5 other Kenwood stereo components from the same era and all have the original boxes and packing. Receiver, Integrated amp, Tuner, Turntable, Cassette player and a Timer. Got it for a steal at a garage sale. I haven't unpacked it yet. Too cold in my garage. From what I have read, this is a very nice receiver.

I have a mint Kenwood KR-6060 High Speed DC receiver I bought new around 1980 or so for $600.00, a lot of money then. It's not only beautiful but truly awesome in performance. They really don't make them like they use to!

Picked mine up in the Philippines when I was in the NAVY back in the 1970's. Teamed it up with a pair of Pioneers CS 922a's and I have been pissing off my various neighbors for 40 years !!

I have never seen a Timer Switch on a receiver and very rarely any ever have a Mid tone control ..Kenwood had great products.

Beautiful piece of equipment . The stunning look of craftsmanship and quality. I could just imagine listening to some good jazz on that stereo. No more Beauty in the new stereos unless you buy a Macintosh .

Manufacturers should bring back the 1970's audio system design just like what those shoe manufacturers are bringing back their vintage styles. They have those gorgeous, superior quality design that cannot be matched-up by current designers. Let's go!!!!!

I have the Eleven iii. You'd be surprised how many Technics speakers that have higher ratings sound amazing with these high power amps. I run SB-2766 and SB-2744 at the same time. All I need is the 2722 to complete the set.

Got my 9GX at the PX Subic bay in 1980, this and the 11GX were never imported into the US so they are kind of rare stateside. The only thing I've had to do to it is replace a couple preamp op-amps that blew out ,still need to replace 1 of the bulbs(35 years of blasting metal will do that). Was going to get BOSE 901's(way to much $$$) but got a pair of Pioneer CS922A's and with this Kenwood turned UP they will blow your pants cuffs like a f'n hurricane, at least until the crow bar circuit cuts off the amps lol....

This looks almost identical to the one I have, only difference is mine has a Multiple Acoustic Compensator (MAC)where the treble, mid and bass knobs are. Fancy lengthy way to say equalizer.

i don´t know the model but i used for a few days a kenwood stereo receiver ,old but looks younger than this ,do you know what model it could be, because the speaker selector and it´s conbinations were in a turn on selector , not like an on/off switch, and it was bigger than this ,and from the mid 70´s maybe by the design, probably the KR-9600, not sure of it

The electrolytic capacitors are all new, but the other components are of excellent quality and will last another 40 years. Hug!

May I know what is the Timer for? Is that for the number of hours you gonna let the receiver to be on and then automatically shutdown after let's say one hour of continuous function?

@@douglas_hifi @Douglas N hifi & lofi audio & Eletrônica. , a principio tenho receiver Realistic 2100d , defeito, um canal queimado, 120 W por canal, gostaria que trocasse as duas saidas, um radio gravador Wilco, uma saida queimada, mesma situação, trocar os dois canais, um Receiver Marantaz 2265 B tudo funcionando, preciso que faça, calibragem, AM - FM , recap capacitores, colocar leds no painel, em fim fazer melhorias atualizações ! Acho q vc é a pessoa certa, aceita amigo ?
