In this demo I show the Valeton EP-2 pedal performance under diiferent situations (it is alwais connected as expression pedal in the video):
Demo 1 @1:12 : Pedal controlling the wah effect into my multieffect device (BOSS MS-3), using an overdriven tone
Demo 2 @2:50 : Pedal controlling the master volume into the multieffect, using an overdriven tone
Demo 3 @3:38 : Pedal controlling the master volume into the multieffect, using a clean tone
Demo 4 @4:17 : Pedal controlling the wah effect, using a clean tone
Demo 5 @5:26 : Pedal controlling the pedal bending effect
Demo 6 @6:38 : Pedal controlling the delay mix in the tone (More delay mix at heel less delay mix at toe)
Demo 7 @7:30 : Pedal controlling the delay mix and wah at the same time

Where does it sit on your pedal order? How does the volume pedal do after drive effects?

Hola! Sí, un cable con Jack TRS o cable stereo, es la manera de conectarlo. Un saludo!

Hola amigo tengo el mismo pedal pero nose como conectarlo para convertilo en pedal de expresion entre mis pedales analogos ? Se que se usa un cable estereo en la salida pero la otra punta es estereo tambien ?

Hola David gracias! Sí, el valeton está conectado con un cable TRS, es un cable stereo vamos... si no fuera trs no funcionaría

@@MiguelAngelGuitar es la primera vez que compro algo así jaja, imagino que sí quisiera usarlo entre el ampli y la guitarra también tendría que ser el mismo TRS no?

Entre el ampli y la guitarra no sería necesario, lo estarías usando como un simple pedal de volumen, la guitarra la conectarías al input y el output hacia la entrada del ampli. Estás teniendo algún problema para usarlo? saludos!

@@MiguelAngelGuitar si! Me pasa que al presionar un poco el pedal ya llega al máximo, no sé si sea por el cable o porque lo conecto directamente a la placa de audio. Aún no lo pude probar con un amplificador en sala con la banda.

Only the cable connected to the pedal must be stereo to get it working as an expression pedal

Sí, también es válido para teclados, si tu teclado tiene una entrada para pedal de expresión externo funcionará controlando los parámetros que estén disponibles en tu teclado para este fin. Solo tienes que conectar el output del pedal de expresión a la entrada de pedal de expresión de tu teclado, siempre con un cable estéreo.

Yes you can, I'm using it with my ms-3 in the video. You can connect it as expression pedal in the ms-3

Buena prueba pero... ¿Y tus comentarios? Desde los audífonos se escucha bastante bien pero tu tenías el amplificador de frente y no mencionaste nada de lo que percibes desde tu posición, no sé, materiales, comodidad, como cambias de wha a volumen, es más; ¿Lo recomiendas? con respeto pero te quedaste corto y los que no tenemos el conocimiento queremos aprender.

It's an effect on the Boss Ms3 named pitch bend. You can assign it to the expression pedal

Aunque el material con el que está fabricado es plástico, se nota resistente al pie, no creo que sea fácil romperlo!😄

They are engaged separately, and I mean, in order to use the volume pedal, you will need to have a input and output cable connected to its respective jack. If you only want to use expression, you only plug the output jack.

@@DominiqueWillkins Hi Sir! Please allow me to jump in.. I also have a surge ep2..just bought it a week ago. Im curious how to run it as exp. Pedal only. In the manual it says that you only need to plug a "Stereo Jack" into its output then leave the input behind..

That's Correcto! You would need a cable with stereo input plug, the one that has two rings before the tip, this needs to be plugged into the OUTPUT jack, and the INPUT jack doesn't have to have any cable plugged it, so it has to be empty. You cannot use both functionality - Expression or Wah, it is one or the other. For the Wah, you plug it in just as a normal pedal. One thing that i must mention is that for the Line 6 M Series, you would need a cable with one end with stereo input plug and the other one in mono. I have done this myself and it is pretty easy. Othey way, the expression won't work well with it. Any questions, let me know.

@@DominiqueWillkins Wow!! Thanks a lot!! Actually, i have a Line 6 M5.. And im not sure if im going to run the patch cable, both ends at stereo.. Really appreciate what you mentioned awhile ago the need of stereo at one end, and mono for the other!. :-) Thank you very much!!

This thing is fucked,it only works as a volume pedal.Do I need to buy a special connector to use as an expression pedal? I didn't see this important info when I ordered this. I think I'll send this paperweight back and order a proper one.

For using it as an expression pedal you have to connect a Trs cable to the pedal, and that cable to the expression pedal in existing in your ms-3. Check the connection instructions on your effects unit.
