demolition lovers, desert song, and early sunsets over monroeville create a holy trinity of the most magical and mystical songs. i get chills every time i listen to them. the lyrics are sweet in the most confusing way. the instrumental makes your heart stop. theyre just something special. nothing like the later mcr albums, nothing like any song ive ever heard in my life, not even close.

The light guitar in the beginning and in the bridge are so hypnotizing when the drums are incredible and Gerard’s voice cracks are breathing oxygen into my asthmatic lungs.

this album is really my favourite in terms of imagery. it's just, the mood it sets is so unique, it's so gothic romance, so hopeless, so raw. they were able to take these dark and ugly feelings and turn it into something as equally as dark and beautiful. i don't think i'll ever tire of bullets.

This song's pretty memorable to me. I remember hearing this in an old Discord like app. The room host was playing it. I got hooked to it instantly because of the great composition. I didnt know the title so I asked in the chat, but no one answered because the room host fell asleep. I had to wait till tomorrow to know. I could only try to remember parts of the lyrics so he had a hard time recognizing what song was I describing. Until I remembered the chorus, and voila, he started playing it again. Aaah, such a nice song I said. And then he introduced me to MCR. The beginning of my emo phase :)

I used to sing the beginning part of Demolition to my youngest sister when she was a newborn. She would always fall asleep. Fast forward: she is 13 years old and literally asked me randomly "Do you like My Chemical Romance?" I was shocked. I never told her about MCR before. She likes them (along with Green Day) and said her favorite song is Teenagers (that was one of my least favs) I was still shocked. This baby...what happened to the time? Life.

This song means so much to me. Not for any big reason, I just feel heavy nostalgia when I hear it. I used to know every mcr lyrcs from the heart. No one listened to it, or even knew it. It sounds so selfish to say, but mcr was only my escape, I could scream out all of my weird "teenager-wannabe" pain without anyone knowing what I was singing. And now tiktok tries to popularize it, and make it mainstream. I know I am self-centered, and this sounds edgy, even cringe, but I hate how more people started to like it making it one of those meaningless bands everybody istens to for 2 months and then throw it away like it was nothing. Don't get me wrong I love tiktok, but it just consumes every song and then makes it famous for 5 seconds. After that, no one really cares about it. Alternative styles are becoming less and less alternative, as more and more people see it on the app. When I liked mcr back in late 2017-mid 2021-ish, they called me "lame", "emo", etc. but now everyone likes it bc it's gaining popularity on tiktok. It is kinda heartbreaking lol :(
