Saw the trailer then movie... def not was I was expecting. I thought this would be a boring & hollow artsy flick. It's way better than that. And if you like Gyllenhaal you'll love it. The dialogue was sharp & unexpectedly hilarious. The characters, acting and story are really original. Solid 8/10.

I really suggest watching this. All the actors were amazing, especially Jake Gyllenhaal. I expected it to be a boring movie but it's not. I started watching for Jake Gyllenhaal but ended loving everything about it. 10/10

greaaaaat movie! I can feel him and barely know how suffer he is through that pain. losing his wife, missing someone he couldn't met again, also traumatic things. and how he try to recover his wound and move on after that, but we all know we can't "just move on". especially from someone we love the most.

Repairing the human heart is like repairing and automobile. You have to take everything apart, just examine everything, and then you can put it all back together.

" Everything has become a Metaphor" - Davis A nice emotional movie. The character portration of Davis was so realistic. If you are looking for a movie that is unique from normal drama. This is for you.

Idk about you guys, but I genuinely love Jake Gyllenhaal movies because these movies seem like his artsy,metaphorical peice of his mind and his scattered thoughts, and he plays this very unique character which is very different but very authentic to his own movies and the other characters he played. Velvet buzzsaw, night crawler, demoliton His character is very odd and extremely entertaining.

Those have already gone or going through grief may have felt is strongly but stay positive , cry and take it out sometime its better . About story Dont know if she loved him or not maybe loved more after her cheating by her parents . Maybe she didn't but pov is about husband he loved her but never really care about anything. Other side mom and son , she felt him while struggling with her own problems . She also lost someone like him, she already went through it ,still maybe but knew that feeling of curiosity she felt him . Movie is great and acting is simply amazing

Beautiful beautiful film, cold and warm at the same time. A movie that hits very deep inside you, slowly.

Although it may not appeal to broader audience i found it to be smart, kind, subtle and very subversive picture. Its unique storytelling, gorgeous cinematography and corky characters are what really impressed me here. At first it may look pretentious and self indulging, but i thought that it was a superb metaphore about a man who in its own unique way of grieving finds some type of catharsis. Acting is good, dialogue is clever, there are more than few jabs at todays society that work and while some parts of it are familiar and predictable, the way the story is told felt fresh and different. 3.5/5
