This is part 2, in which the below-ground floors and the foundation are excavated, while in parallel the preparatory work for the new foundation goes on.

In reality the demolition and the construction overlap, so there is not a discrete changeover from one to the other, but I consider this video to cover up to the end of the demolition.
The construction that follows at this site will be picked up over on The Hospital Construction Channel, eventually.... It will be some time before it starts over there... Tentatively planned to be called the “Ⓢ series” over there, at: / hospitalconstruction
This demolition has nothing to do with the original hotel demolition that this channel originally extensively covered, but it still seemed appropriate for this channel anyway, and was only a block away. This demolition takes place in central San Francisco.
