THAT EPISODE.....
Swordsmen in the Demon Slayer Corps known as Hashiras have arrived on Mt. Natagumo. Giyu Tomioka, the Water Hashira, slays the Father Spider Demon with a single strike. Inosuke, thrilled to see such a display of swordsmanship by someone in a totally different league from himself, challenges Giyu to a duel. Meanwhile, Zenitsu lies near death as the poison circulates throughout his body. Just then, the Insect Hashira, Shinobu Kocho appears before him. Tanjiro fights!!

I heard this but “unlimited budget” thing but I always thought it was exaggerated. Did the studio really have unlimited budget for this episode bc it was amazing and I wouldn’t even be surprised

@@kyroking9934 No but its a running gag. UFOtable also animated Fate/Zero Unlimited Blade Works. So the joke is that instead of swords, UFOTable can summon limitless budget for their amazing animations.

よくこのリアクションあげてる外国の方沢山いるけど、このラストのシーンからエンディングロールの余韻までの流れが秀逸すぎるんだよな。これを作ったアニメーションは神ってる。もちろん原作が素晴らしいのがあっての事だけどこのシーンはハンターハンターの旧クラピカVSウヴォーギン戦を彷彿とさせるくらいに神のクオリティだ。

Some clarifications: A couple of episodes ago, the Master or Leader of the demon slayers did say the Butterfly Hashira’s name... her name is Shinobu. “Hashira” means “pillar.” 2) Not all coal making families know the Hinokami Kagura. The mom specifically said their family deals with fire and dance the Hinokami Kagura to ward off evil, etc. And, with the father’s talk of how he’ll pass down (the generations) the hanafuda-like earrings and the Hinokami Kagura, and thinking about the flashback that Muzan had (as you discussed) of the swordsman looming over him, you can deduce that someone among Tanjiro’s ancestors was a demon slayer, and a strong one to boot to make Muzan cower in fear like that. That ancestor had reddish hair, the earrings, and a red sword (which, if you recall, Haganezuka the sword smith hoped Tanjiro would have). I agree with Moostache that perhaps Muzan specifically targeted Tanjiro’s family. I remember thinking how absurd it was for a demon living in Tokyo to go out of his way to go up some remote mountain just to kill (and not even feast on) an entire family and turn one into a demon for kicks. But after we see his flashback, we can see he holds a strong grudge against that original swordsman/demonslayer intimidating him. So although the Hinokami Kagura was passed down the generations as a New Year’s ritual in their family, it’s true purpose may be a demon slaying breathing form (like Urokodaki’s water breathing). Fun fact: the design of the sword that the father uses in his Hinokami Kagura is from a real sword from Japan’s history (perhaps around 1500 years ago), and is speculated to have been used for religious ceremonies. A “kagura” is a religious dance. “Hinokami” could mean “Fire God” or “Sun God,” but as they wrote it in katakana, we cannot grasp the true meaning at this point. (NO SPOILERS please, manga readers!)

You're wrong about the reason why Muzan attacked Tanjiro's family. I suggest you read the manga, especially chapter 196, to know the answer.

Dea Punsalan Thanks, but I'm not on some mission to find answers, so I'm not going to jump to a specific chapter of a manga. I want to enjoy the story as it is presented. If I decide to read the manga, I'll read it in sequence and enjoy each panel, speculate if I want to, make mistakes with the speculation as will likely happen, and be surprised by whatever twists the author puts in.

If you think about it tanjiro has technically defeated 2 of the 12 kizuki's (12 moons) The first is kyogai the former lower six its the demon that have small drums attached to his body

SPOILER: My Guy that is Sun breathing right there. The first, original and most powerful breath from which all the other ones came from. What his dad was doing wasn't a dance at all It was all the forms of the breath. also, The earings were not Passed down to him by his grandfather but by someone else who is SO OP IT WILL DESTROY THE STORY so i'll just keep quiet about that.
