I love tractor drawn aerials! Maybe because in my 48+ years as firefighter/EMT, that’s the one truck I never got to ride or drive. Those trucks are the bad boy of USA fire service!

I still, to this day, did not see anything wrong with Maplewood's engine. Honestly, even if they are a busy company, the engine is still in an almost pristine shape. Yes, they know how to take care of their apparatus and all, but there really isn't much difference between the two. If I had to guess, I'd say it was an excuse to use federal grant money. I've seen apparatus on here that were in dire need of being replaced, and well deserved it too.

When you stop and think about all the effort that went into this film - over the span of years - it's a really impressive feat. This guy just doesn't stand around on a corner and get lucky, this takes planning and knowledge of all the local fire departments and their apparatus. Well done!

Not sure what it is but the old trucks will always beat the newer ones. Sure the new ones are really cool and fancy but something about the old halogen wig wags, rotators and beacons with the growl of the 2 stroke diesel with every break and gas pedal use just...brings a true sense of pride, respect, tradition and the true feeling of "help is coming" al9ng with that soothing sound of the engine popping to a stop for that grandmother who fell or that 1 fire that trumps all others. Its just a true message that old trucks send almost like a last hoorah to the ones who made it all possible.

Sure a lot of officers on these trucks and engines that really love sounding like a police car. How bout, ya search for the peddle that's already at your feet and it connects to this really neat thing called a "Q2 siren." Are ya'll afraid to or what? Sound like a fire truck, so people can start being aware and looking for a FIRE truck. Those wail, yelp and hi-lo are sirens are SECONDARY; in addition to the Q2. They were never invented to be the main siren on any fire apparatus.

Difference old is cooler 100% the new 20% also the old trucks inspire future firefighters but it’s the same with the new
