no, he was holding his head in shock--- but truly nobody deserves it more. What's interesting is Deniss made the same exact jump save as Stephane did in Vancouver. They are like identical twins.

Very moving video. Stephane Lambiel is such an amazing skater. His legacy will live on through his students. His love for them and the sport of ice skating is very immense. He has transferred his great emotion and passion for performing into his coaching. I love watching him coach equally as much as I enjoy watching him skate. Words cannot express what I see in the evolving, maturing Stephane. Stephane may not have any physical children of his own, but his students are his babies and to me, the ice is his bride.

This is such a moving video. I remember in 2017 there was a video of Stephane being very critical of Deniss. So, it goes to show you, when you have someone in your corner, who really loves you, they will tell you the truth. I see them as two best friends taking on the world. Stephane has passed to Deniss some of the great secrets of figure skating. The legacy lives on.

Hi, I want to tell you how much I love this video! I've watched it dozens of times since 2018 (it's true🥺). Another winter Olympics has come and go, Deniss and Stephane are still such a sweet pair of student & coach! I'm wondering may I have the privilege of making and translating the subtitle into Chinese, and reposting it on the Chinese video-sharing website (Bilibili)? This video is my all-time favourite, and I just want more people can appreciate it. I'll credit you and link the repost back to here. Again, thank you for making this video!

I have for some years now lamented the great lack of male figure skaters with a sense of real style, grace, elegance, passion, emotion & artistic interpretation in their on-ice performances - skaters who are capable of portraying a character, or acting out a role on the ice. In particular, I look at a lot of the Asian skaters who appear to be doing so well in recent years - but although they may possess a lot of great technical skills, I don't feel any sense of genuine excitement about their performances, & don't find them "entertaining" as such, because I feel they lack something in their artistic impression - they just don't have that "Wow!" factor for me. And even the costumes these days don't seem to be as impressive as they once were. About the only top skater in recent times who has shown much in the way of artistic impression in my opinion, is Javier Fernandez, & he recently announced his retirement from competitive figure skating. I would love to go back to the time of Stephane Lambiel, & even before then, when there were some wonderfully artistic male skaters, that I used to really enjoy watching. But for now, I would have to agree with Mr Lambiel, that there is definitely a lack of top male skaters who are capable of such artistic performances. So I hope that Deniss Vasiljevs will continue to develop his own unique personal & artistic style, & I do so wish him well for his future skating career.

Your comment is actually how I feel. The two top male competitors today have the technical skills but lack that wow component and don’t find myself wanting to rewatch their programs. Check out Kevin Aymoz the French skater especially his program to the music Lighthouse by Patrick Watson. I find myself watching f his Grand Prix 2019 on loop because of the passion he exudes. He won’t stand as the champion because he doesn’t have the technical as the top two but boy he gives me chills.

Нельзя привить ощущение своего тела, пластику в манере другого человека, когда этого нет в природе: Денис грубо скроен, кордовая манера, руки, как ушат: неудачный опыт!

Ну, скажем так,что такой пластики как у Стефана,я ни у кого не видела из фигуристов не в прошлом поколении,не в нынешнем. Ну,а у Дениса есть свой шарм. Очень много поклонников у этого мальчика. Хотя до своего тренера ему далеко. Это лично моё мнение

Позвольте не согласиться,у Дениса красивые руки. Выразительное ,артистично ее катание, мужское изящество. Он преображается в танце Хотелось бы пожелать ему более сложные прыжки исполнять, и огромное спасибо Стефану .Ламбьель мой любимейший фигурист , Удачи им обоим!
