I was listening to this song while I was going home from prom in elementary school. It was to quite, it was also very dark, so I put on this song to feel less lonely. I always feel and remeber the cold (but not too cold) breeze, the sky that was about to rain, the thunder that was coming. Ahhh, I love that feeling. It was two years ago..

Just saw this on 'Prodigal Son' S2E1 in the UK today - I was so haunted by it, it took me a minute to realise what the song was. This has been one of my favourites ever since I first heard it as a child, and I adore this version - haunting, mesmerising, liminal.

You are so right you have absolutely explained my feelings on this song so eloquently. This song is like haunting me it does give me goosebumps and makes me think about things that I would never even ever think about, the loss of people that I love, the things that have passed by that I didn't know existed, just things that would make you stop and think about that and nothing else that your mind just floats through space.

I first heard this song and others by Denmark and Winter watching the show Stalker a few years back. There are a ton of amazing slow eery covers of songs like this that were used for the show. Glad to see that this song is still being used by other shows and ppl are liking it!

What the hell is wrong with the 6 ppl who disliked this song... This as ALWAYS been one of my favorite songs and I have to give Blue Oyster Cult mad props, but I always felt that the beat didn't match the words it was always too upbeat for such dark lyrics, but this version is absolutely perfect it's haunting and by far my favorite cover of this song
