Anyone remember those hot dog cookers by Presto called the "Hot Dogger" that had the metal spikes on both sides that you bent the hot dog into & they fully cooked in around 45 seconds? I used to love those Dogs, but tried one recently, it tasted the same and I realized they always tasted awful.

Valli For anyone who, like me, had their curiosity piqued: the movie isn't Vampire Hookers (1978), it's Bordello of Blood (1996) and the cast also includes William Sadler from Die Hard 2, Erika Eleniak from Under Siege, and Angie Everhart from Another Nine & a Half Weeks. I kinda want to watch it now - not Bordello of Blood, but Vampire Hookers.🥁 [crickets] Is this thing on?

Dennis Miller is one of those late 80s “hack” comedians who got lucky and got on a tv show in the 90s. He hasn’t even been partially relevant since his HBO show went off the air in 2003.

Not unless you like severely obscure references. He is a smart guy. However, 90% of his material is way too "cultured" (obscure/strange) for a mass market. I bet he makes faculty members at Ivy League schools chuckle from time to time. That's about it.

Gated communities are overrated and millions of Americand live in such places. I lived in a gated community for five years and was released early on good behavior. Not much ice cream was served, but plenty of tossed salad.

Putting aside that freezers don't have mouths, when delivering "the difference between" jokes you're supposed to make the audience say the punchline in their head. So in this case you'd say, "When the freezer opens its mouth, the light goes on."🥁 It's still a shitty joke though.

I recall a radio show 20 years ago where Miller was a guest. Radio DJ: Hey, Dennis say " making copies," like your character The Richmeister. Miller: No.Sorry, that was Rob Schneider's bit. DJ: Do the one where you say "yeah, that's the ticket." Miller: That's Jon Lovitz. This went on for a while until Miller became so insulted and annoyed that he quickly ended the interview. If this was a genuine interview, kudos to the DJ. If it was a comedy bit, it was genius.

"Beware the socialist who does the long form taxes." I've heard versions of this on talk radio several times - it usually starts like this: "Senator so-and-so has a nice home...actually two of them. Pretty surprising they HAVE STUFF when they ask others to give their money away...am I right?" And the *dolts* who lap this stuff up never have it occur to them that EVEN THOUGH democrats with money exist, they advocate for policies DAILY that they understand might just hit them in the wallet.

He used to be quite funny. But even then he was kinda askew. He didn't seem to like playing characters, and would even rail about the idea of impersonators being at all comedic. I think he thought that only "stand up" was real comedy in our culture.

Sam made the point I was going to make about the refrigerator. If Hannity's audience thinks these two clowns don't have the exact same appliance (or an equivalent) in their homes, they're fooling themselves. But then this is a FOX audience so, yeah, that tracks. Many is the time I have heard Hannity, or his talk radio cohort Rush Limbaugh, say some thing like, "but you and me", or , "but the rest of us", in a lame attempt to promote some illusion of solidarity.

Dennis hasn't aged well intellectually at all> He's become dumber and even less funny than he used to be. The joke on Bernie falls flat and Hannity's laugh rings hollow. Two people with no sense of humor trying to pull off a dumb joke which lands with a LOUD THUD. The only ones laughing are the two of them...and that too not real laughter.

Conservatives just aren't funny. At least not intentionally. Conservatism is all about black-and-white thinking whereas comedy is all about nuance and thinking outside the box. Great comedy is about exploring the in between spaces. Plus, conservatives are easily offended prudes, every bit as easily offended as they claim "SJWs" are, just about different things. Instead of being offended by bigotry, they're offended by rainbow oreos and biracial couples in Cheerios commercials and Starbucks cups not mentioning Jesus. They're offended by someone saying "damn" on primetime television and superbowl halftime shows being too sexy. The kind of jokes they laugh at are generally dumber. They don't like rough language but they do like cruel punchlines as long as the targets are anyone who isn't them.

Miller is completely irrelevant in all aspects of everything. He wasn’t even a good comedian. Just the be all know all until getting punched in the face bit

Miller said "hood the falcon" not "hug the falcon". The idea being that in falconry you train the bird while it's wearing a hood so that it keeps quiet and calm and does not go on screeching and clawing and attacking all the time. He's saying that because Pelosi is loud and obnoxious, that a hood should be put on her so that she could focus on her job and do it better. Still not funny, though.

Sean Hannity is funnier than Dennis Miller. And both are as funny as a tragic freeway accident.
