I believe that John Lennon had faith in Christ, in spite of what he said in some of his songs (to please Yoko). In the late 70's, John gave his heart to Christ, according to documentation in the letters he wrote to several TV evangelists, and according to a book written by one of his former employees. It was also written up in an article in Christianity Today years ago. I believe God gave John enough time to repent after he was shot, to cry out to the Lord, which means John Lennon went to heaven.
