Thanks for the demo Brad. Nice, concise overview. The way I see Deno is simply a javascript runtime that is set up like Go. I'll look forward to the follow up demo.

Even though I knew what Brad would write as soon as he started working on API, I did not skip any second, because I might miss some important words maybe not connected to API. I think TraversyMedia is exceptional channel I watch most of the videos' every second.

I find the slides very useful Brad, don't be discouraged by the haters. I found the slides are a great introduction to the tech, why it's being developed, its history and context, advantages, etc. This type of info can't really be shown by programming alone, so it definitely shows/explains why we're here and learning the tech in the first place. If anything, use KZfaq's feature of partitioning your video into the different sections, so that people who want to hop straight into coding can do so!

One of things that I like about Deno is that it simplifies the build process and testing. If you are just doing front end code with TypeScript or JS with ES Modules then you are set to go. Where in Nodejs ES Modules are first class yet so it is a huge pain in the butt.

Hi Brad, I think it would be a good idea to have a video to summarize all the backend frameworks like rails, django, larvel ... Since all of these just different approaches on solving same problems. I think having a list of main problems in mind can help us better navigate ourselves when going through these frameworks' documents.
