Denon CEOL RCD-N7 Red Flashing Light Repair

Күн бұрынThis wireless network hi-fi was sent over to me from a guy in Essex. It powers on but then quickly powers down and flashes an error led.
He had previously sent it to Denon themselves who couldn't fix it due to parts, and a couple of other companies who also weren't able to repair this.
He did his research and found these units commonly fail due to certain components overheating and burning out, and even sent me replacement components.
But after an inspection I noticed the problem was actually capacitors on the power supply board had actually failed over time.
A full recap of the power supply board has completely fixed the issue👍

Same problem with my unit as well. I replaced just the 10V 2200uF capacitor with a 16V 2200uF capacitor. Thank you for sharing the info!

Can you explain how to get the top cover off please. Mine seems to be held down by fastenings around the ipod dock. Cheers and thanks in advance for any help you can give.

Hi there. Sorry for only seeing this comment, yt doesn't alert me to comments. On the N7 model the screws holding down the top cover are located on the back of the unit and the sides - 16 screws in total. There is none around the iPod dock

Is it possible to get the reference of the capacitors you bought ? or any capacitor will work ? Thanks

Nice, I have the same one with the exact same issue. Thanks for sharing! Edit: I opened it up and the caps on the power supply look exactly the same.
